Totally agree with you. Even though it is the end of the console life-cycle, there are still so many great games coming. I'm excited to be in gaming, whether or not next-generation consoles are on their way. It's good to be a gamer.

Do any of you feel fatigued with the current line of games available and upcoming?

Yeah I kind of think that after this next-generation of consoles, that the next one will be the last and it all will be cloud based from there on out. But with how long this next-generation took to arrive, it could be another 10 years before the cloud based system comes into play, just like Pachter said.

Agreed, but don't you think you'll miss gaming boxes a little bit? Won't you miss the nostalgia of physically having and holding the game? I feel like there's a unique connection there and that may be lost once it happens. But if it doesn't happen for 10 years, then I'm sure my opinion will be different by then.

It will be much more convenient though once it's all digital. It will save on gas $ haha.

Yeah I mean Nintendo is what it is. So comparing them to Microsoft or Sony really doesn't make too much sense because those companies have different niches and roles to play in gaming versus Nintendo. They have theirs in family and casual gaming, and they have been successful with it. You may not prefer Nintendo's vision for gaming, and that's fine, but that does not mean the company isn't successful or anything like that.

I gotcha. I mean of course we don't know exact pricing, specs (although I'll get an exclusive look at the Wii U this weekend in Denver) and launch date; however it's almost certain the system will be between $300-$400 range. I'm betting $300.

The release date is going to be in November. As to specifically when, who knows, but it's all relative as long as it's in November. Omg if it releases on Black Friday? Holy sh!t! That is inviting open war into Be...

That's totally false. We know a ton about the console from its multiplayer, to its system hardware capability, to its controllers and the titles that will be accompanying it at launch. We know a ton about it if you had been following things.

So is that hell yeah they should not take a year off or hell yeah they should take a year off?

4935d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Not in AC III it won't be.

Agreed. There are people who more have the stance that because they've been out four years in a row, that then it means the series should take a year off. I mean like you said if a game is great, one after the other, then why stop?

And yes the series doesn't need to change every time. It's just nice to have something different after every two. I thought Revelations was a bit too much like been there done that. But still was great!!

Keep em coming...

Hopefully Fall of Cybertron is a lot better than War for Cybertron.

Digital Content is going off everywhere. Future? Yup

4938d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I mean if the world is expansive enough and has enough options and content, which so far it has, then why not release a game every year? I just don't get why if something is a great thing, you would not want more? Some is good more is better.

Yearly AC's are not bad as long as they are fresh and and original. I hope they continue to make a new Assassin's Creed every year!

GTA has company!

How about in the multi, for every 10 levels you upgrade through, you unlock new missions from Jerusalem or from Venice or something. The more you play, the more content you get.

Actually Tomb Raider has been around a lot longer than Uncharted has. So really it's Uncharted stealing from Tomb Raider.

4947d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

Interesting. So do you think that's why no one else has tried to go that direction with another game?

4947d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Right yeah that's what I mean. I feel like nowadays, in lots of industries, that when something new and original that is successful comes out, other competitors jump all over the idea and then create their own version of it. You can look at phones, movies, tv shows, etc. So it's surprising no studio hasn't even tried it.
