No ACIII sucked because Connor was boring and the story was a bit of a let down.

Right now it's a PC exclusive, but sounds like from the interview we had with them that they really want it to come to next-gen.

Yeah I mean Ubi did a great job of saying a lot about Watch Dogs without really saying much at all. I mean how much do we really know about Watch Dogs' story, Chicago, things you can do, places outside of Chicago you can go (which they did say you can do), and so many other things. We've seen a lot, but we don't know much, if that makes sense.

I hear you on this one. But I think we need to give Watch Dogs a chance to establish its own identity as a franchise, independent of GTA. It's obviously the tendency we all have to want to compare Watch Dogs and other open-worlders to GTA, but I think the harder we try to not do that, the better.
I know and I agree with you. I mean, I'm really interested in this game, but with the expectations being placed so high, I really hope they deliver. What most concerns me is the movie they have in development. Movies are for established franchises, aren't they?
Having had time with this thing on AC IV, I really don't see the use for it, right now. I think the best uses for it will come out of first party developers, not third parties. Ubisoft has to worry about both Xbox One and PS4, as do other third parties, so I won't expect anything groundbreaking from them. It's going to have to come from first party developers. Seems cool though, I hope they make a go of it or else that's a big waste of space on the DualShock.
Don't think it matters for Xbox One and PS4, since they according to some devs, they are pretty much the same to develop for. I'd guess those two versions will be very similar.
I know devs are not talking about the next-gen dev costs, but just wait, it's going to come out that those have increased. I'm calling end of this year, beginning of next, when devs and pubs start talking about it.

Well yeah, but don't you want to know in what ways? I mean I really want to know, specifically, what the upgrades and differences are going to be with next-gen. But this is a start.

For sure. I know Black Flag will be better because they have really focused on naval gameplay as the main mode of traversal, if that makes sense. When we found busy streets in big cities of previous AC games, we now find the same thing with the sea. It really is amazing how full the sea is and how much there is to do. It's not boring, that's for sure. Hopefully everything comes together.
