AWESOME article, hits the nail on the head. Still a ton of great games for 2014 though, but is nice to see someone have some fun with trends lately.
True, very true! But enough for 5 games on one day to sell enough and all be successful? Hard to believe, even if all 5 games receive perfect scores across the board. For each game's sake tho, I really hope they all sell.
Yep, it's a no brainer really. Companies launching games on Oct. 7th should take note. That date so far has:
-Driveclub
-Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
-Alien: Isolation
-Dragon Age: Inquisition
-NBA 2K15
Figure it out, it's not rocket science. The fact that those 5 games are launching on the same day is a joke. Those games are going to cannibalize themselves, even if they are all 5/5's. Oh and Skylanders launches ...
Those people are morons and just have it out for the game. This game got a 5/5 because we don't have a half star system. If we did, it would've been a 4.5/5, but there's no way it was a 4, so that's why.
Most credible sites have this game at about an 80% average. It's a great game, really. There's no way this game was going to live up to the hype. The hype was unattainable, but that still doesn't mean it's a bad game at all.
...
Yeah agreed. I think they can go a lot deeper with this series and even give players a bit more freedom from an exploration standpoint. I think the game would benefit greatly from it.
Yep, that's what I found in the hands-on I had a month ago. Money is easy to get :)
Very interesting to learn the different between the two. Happy Watch Dogs won't call the cops on me when I take out the only person within a square mile. Appreciate the basic realism there.
Looks like quite the stark contrast from Chicago itself. Will be nice to get away from the city for a bit. I'm pumped for this game all around tho!
"Sunset Noverdrive"
Totally agree with you. I feel like driving in Sunset would just slow you down.
Definitely would have been a different game set in Los Angeles. Streets and everything are wider and bigger, besides GTA V took us there, so I'm glad Watch Dogs will provide a different setting. 5/27 get here now.
The watch is for the in-game map, confirmed, watch the demo.
I'm torn on Kinect. I definitely wouldn't have gone out of my way to spend an extra $100 at launch, but would be something to consider for the future. I feel bad for the devs who have been working on a Kinect game and now this happens. Could be a bit demoralizing for them, hope it's not though.
Agreed on all fronts. I think AC Unity will be a good refocus for the brand. Not going to lie though, enjoyed sailing around in the Caribbean, was loads of fun :)
You're right it is.
Nice tips, I'll put them to work and see what happens.
Just spit-balling, but wouldn't it be cool to see all of middle-earth done in an open-world game. Still waiting for that, even though it would probably be expansive, like Witcher 3 expansive.
Aw yeah, now that you put it like that, could be a longshot. But I mean, maybe another studio is taking the reigns. Either way, E3 2014 is going to be exciting!
Yeah it's pretty staggering the amount of time you will be able to spend in this game.
Yeah a sense of humor, a lot of people lack apparently. Glad you got it.
