Playstation has ALWAYS been a console brand that has worldwide love/recognition. Nintendo and Microsoft should learn how to market on a global scale like Sony does.

N64 is the main cause of Nintendo getting less 3rd party along with the almightly Playstation 1.
And those with the lowest get left behind anyway so why bother with low spec PCs. It's not the same. Consoles are an even playing field for all who buy them. Consistency is good for console gaming.
PS4 will still lead in sales and then PS5 when it comes out.

I'm not sure what Nintendo will do to grab some of that PS4/Xbone marketshare away and make us notice the NX. They just don't make mind blowing games like they used to.
Sega tried the same thing. It didn't work. Consoles are meant to be static and consistent. It's what makes them so wonderful and worth buying even 10 years later. Microsoft is in reality letting Sony dominate the entire home console market share now. I fear for what may happen next generation. Nintendo won't be able to grab the marketshare enough to be seen as a threat and PS5 will take over completely.
