Yes I did. They shouldn't be compared but they inevitably will be because some things like gameplay and story will be fundamentally the same even though other aspects of the game like touch controls won't be. I accept that. And if I were to judge each game on it's own, then AC3 would get a higher score.
Kind of have to agree there. Japanese games just don't do it for me. And there are way better games to own a Vita for.
Side note: Is Lego Lord of the Rings on Vita? If so then I have to buy that.
Haha, no. It's an awesome game and a technological marvel for a handheld, but it does get anywhere close to AC3, which has quite a few flaws itself.

Great. I liked Aveline but her characterization was terrible and the plot was jumpy. If they continue with her it'd be nice to see her character develop a bit more.
That's going to be really hard to pull off. Knowing the whole time that what you are doing is to harm yourself just as a different character would be kind of irritating. It'd feel like a constant state of counter-productiveness. Plus there'd be no surprises if you're the bad guy.

There were plenty of British people who weren't the bad guys and plenty of "Americans" who were. Did you even play the game? Washington gave the order to burn Connor's village to the ground, Haytham was trying to win independence as well, he just approached it differently.
Spot on about the PS3 ports. Trying to sell it as a PS3 on the go is the complete wrong way to approach it. They have to give it it's own identity.

Same. Those aren't in order, that'd be hard to do. Florence was awesome because it was your first experience in AC2 but then when you went to Venice it was mindblowingly awesome. I like Venice Rooftops, but Ezio's Family was what hooked me. Standing on the rooftop with Ezio's brother as it zoomed out over Florence, Ezio's Family played, and the AC2 logo came up...that was just awesome.
Have to agree. And it's stuff like the review that you posted below that pisses me off. When I read a review, I want to know the reasoning behind the score. That was just a long bitch fest with no actual analyzing going on. AC3 is amazing.

I agree to that. There's not nearly enough info to make a decision yet. I like GTA 4 alright, it just had a more serious tone to it which was different. The story was captivating sometimes but there was a lot of busy work and characters that were just unlikable. I'm hoping that GTA 5 changes some of that. The setting is awesome and the switchable characters could be cool if done right.
I love how his opinion is discredited immediately because it doesn't line up with popular opinion. There is a possibility that he is being serious and actually has these views. But no, nobody can dislike GTA and be serious about it.

So was Altair, and he had even less character and personality going for him. He had no characterization, his voice actor sounded so generic, and there was absolutely no way to relate to him. Why is that okay for Altair but not Connor?

I honestly don't think this is a 6. At the very least it is an 8. And how is Haytham more interesting than Connor? He's a cookie cutter Englishman. Connor defies the status of Native Americans at the time. He's idealistic and hopeful and sees the best in everyone. That makes the decisions he makes interesting and suspenseful because there's clearly a lot of moral ambiguity during that time, or for an Assassin in general.

I think that they could take it to Napoleonic France, which had a lot of guns but it was still pretty basic like the Revolution. War of 1812 would be good if they wanted to continue with Connor.
I bought my Vita for this game, along with a few others. Definitely worth it, not just for this game, there are so many great games for the Vita.
Well State of Decay is a new Microsoft IP. Microsoft IP's are essentially 360 exclusives in terms of consoles. It's just that they can put it on both PC and 360 because they're Microsoft. Just like Gears of War, yet most consider that an Xbox 360 exclusive.
