This is the perfect solution to usher gaming to a new era of how we think games should be played.
In the past, gamers have to buy a newly released nextgen console if they want to play the latest and greatest games. You want Halo 5, buy a xbox one as X360 owners don't have that option to play it on their X360. The install based will have to start from zero on the new Xbox One platform.
With this unified windows 10 initiative, this will no longer be an ...
March 29. The day the best fighting game series of this gen will be mine!
Sad to hear. So what is the point of an online mode then when there is no chance of getting to meet another human player?
I'll just stick to offline mode for the mods if I do decide to pick it up on Steam.
Of course it will be. Think about IOS apps and games. It would be a shame if you have to buy a version and copy for every iphobe, ipad, apple TV you own. Say goodbye to Remasters as a new hardware will automatically scale the same game you purchased previously to high graphics fidelity.
The fact that it is unified and works on multiple devices across multiple generations of hardwares is where the genius of Windows 10 comes through.
Xbox One will always be her...
And I am surprise you didn't ask me to show you a paper with my name on it next to my PS4 like you did for every other articles. LoL
"Infact, put a $150 GPU in your PC, get a PS4 and get a Wii U and you can play the truly best exclusives this gen"
LoL, good luck with that $150 GPU and try to run Quantum Break and new XBOX games on PC.
It requires a GTX 970 or R9 390, both cost around $350.

Almost as much as the total number of SF4 editions. LOL
What is so worry about this piece is when this particular producer was asked about the Arcade single player mode, he totally side step that question and went ahead with the survival mode BS. This is kind of worrying as there might not be any Arcade 2 out of 3 CPU VS mode available at all.
Do we really need a story everytime Phil post a tweet? This is getting rediculous.
You could be correct, very few of the current XB1 owners will buy the new XB2 but for other console owners of other brands and for the millions that haven't upgrade yet to current gen console, they'll see GTA6 with the most grass, 60fps and 4x AA, the console graphics warriors will opt for the most powerful console, the XB2, while budget consensus buyers can play GTA6 with the cheapest current gen console on the market, the new XB1 slim. The disc and data from GTA6 will be the same Xb...
I am not sold either. Not enough game play info for a game that is supposed to be realeased in about 3 months.
Waiting for more insightful previews and some decent reviews before jumping in and pick this one up on my PC. Hope the mod community will make this game the best it can be.
Xbox One will always be here and the United Windows 10 with DX12 is the key to it all and it was all planned out years ago. When E3 comes around, a new speced put XB2 will be unveiled.
The current XB1 will get a new slim model at $299 and a XB2 will be $499.
The $299 slim model will attract the budget consensus consumers, moms and pops buyers like never before.
The new XB2 will make the XBOX brand the most powerful console next to your ...
Wow, so the rant from that other article about UWP was just Sweeney being misinformed?
I didn't response in that article and just smile after reading all those doomsday responses as I already know that the UWP is indeed an opened platform. Those people are looking silly now. LOL
Yup. LoL
@sniper above.
"Gears is suffering bigtime as well due to wua restrictions."
Wth are you talking about? I have Gears Ultimate on my PC and it runs without problem with my GTX 980 Ti card. It only affects some AMD cards atm and MS has already acknowledged that issue and is fixing it as we speak.
"We are working closely with AMD to address a few issues that users of some AMD Radeon Hardware are experiencing while playing Gears ...
Phil is not totally incorrect as he was probably saying that based on the error on the original recommended requirements for Quantum Break, which has a recommended video card for Quantum Break requires a NVIDIA GeForce 980 Ti (my card) or AMD Radeon R9 Fury X, which cost about $700 which is double the cost of an XBox One.
Quantumbreak.com has since updated their requirements changed the recommended spec to a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 390, which cost about $350 ...
It us a copy cat business and if MS succeed with thier new console upgrade initiative, Sony will follow. No doubt.
Like it or not, this is the new Console future as technology advancement is to rapid for a single closed console to be relevant for 7-8 years like last gen.
This story here is referring to one game, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and it is like the first major AAA game on the new MS windoes 10 store and Phil already commented that they are aware of the issues and looking onto it.

"@XboxP3 Are you guys taking steps to resolve these issues?"

Another option. Don't buy it on any MS platform. No one is forcing you or anyone here to buy it just like no one is forcing you to buy EA games like Battlefield 4 on Origin. Phil already said they are in the process of taking feedbacks to remedy some of those issues. You guys want Xbox games on PC, MS is providing that on their OS and their own store on PC, what more do you guys want?
It is a free economy and it is their platform. If you don't like the PC version, the XB1 is for you.
@XiKurapikaKurta,
Not as much as you and many of the folks here that are constantly posting negative comments and moving goalposts on any MS news, good or bad.
This is a weekly MS Major Nelson podcast so the reason why you think Phil and gangs talk too much is because people make a story out of every Phil Spencer Tweet and Dualshockers making 5 stories from a single interview.
If you guys don't want to hear about Xbox news, then just don&...
