Bloodborne, Until Dawn.
Looks like it is an on rail shooter game. Looks interesting but hopefully most VR games will be more than these on rail scripted playing experiences.
Still early. The jury is still out if PSVR is the next big thing since chocolate chip cookie or the next Betamax. I'll keep my eyes close on its continuous development.
I did not advice EVERYONE to not pre order or buy a PSVR at launch, I said "for those that are still skeptical" myself included to wait and see.
No doubts the diehards of Sony will most likely buy anything PS related (or so they say) and hey, they are the initial target of Sony to test out the PSVR water and I would like to thank them for it. But the key has always been capturing the masses and that usually comes after the initial first phrase of core gamers.
Taking a wait and see approach. I also thought the world of PS VITA and went out and bought it day one with with 4 games and an overpriced memory stick needed for it. Sold it less than a year in and took a $200 loss due to the lack of support from third party and Sony.
So I advice all PS4 owners that is still skeptical of this new gaming accessory and unproven VR platform, to wait a few months after the initial launch to see how much adaption rate it has, user reviews, game s...
The only thing I got out of this announcement is that the $399 price doesn't come with the required PS Camera and a projected Oct release date.
LOL @ "Outside of that, PlayStation VR could be the non-gaming console that kills Nintendo’s next system before it even comes out"
That is like saying the next gen apple watch will kill the Galaxy S8. LoL, must be Satire.
...and why is Nintendo and the NX getting mixed into the VR wars i...
We will see as with any new technology. I'll be keeping a close eye on it.
@moldybread,
"seems weird to sell you a peripheral that won't work unless you buy an attachment to go with it. in the console world this is going to cause a lot of confusion."
That is a very good and important point.
Causal soccer moms will buy their little Johnnys' the $399 PSVR at Walmart on Black Friday. When little Johnny open his present at Christmas, neither he or mom understand that you also need a $50 camera in order...
Exactly. I mean for a full VR experience, I would imagine having two move controller (one in each hand) will offer the best way of moving the new era of VR gaming forward. By not including the move controller, developers will just stick to the common denominator of just the DS4 for their game ideas; thus, that will definitely hold the full potential of PSVR back.
You are correct, Michael, the camera and move controller are indeed essential for the PSVR experience.

Engadget: "Those don't quite make headlines or generate goodwill, however, the way a $400 basic price does compared to theVive's $800 and Oculus' $600 asking prices. Remember: The Camera is intrinsic to the e...
What, the $399 price doesn't come with a camera? The camera is an essential piece to making VR work and I hardly knows anyone that has one. So really for the majority, this is looking like a $470 PSVR plus I imagine many games will require the move controllers to offer a full VR experience. This is not looking so cheap and affordable to many anymore.
I am taking a wait and see approach to this as Sony burned us in the past with their VITA and move support. I am still skeptical but also excited at the same time. It is a weird feeling and hopefully the PSVR delivers as I already got a PS4 and $399 seems reasonable, if the software and hardware executions are there.
@Christopher
"MS never invited them"
I never said they did as the cross play announcement just happened and hasn't been implemented yet on XB1.
I said 'future invites'.
the story of the article is about Sony responding to MS invite to allow console to console play (which MS already said yes, and is up to other console makers to just say "yes" and it is a done deal.
If Sony woul...
Sony, please say yes to future invites from MS for cross platform/network play. That would be a good first step to ending this silly console war.
I expect Sony to do the right thing.
"Should I quote Phil Spencer on the positive things he is saying on PS4, yet he still works for MS."
We already know Phil is a gamer at heart and gives praises to other consoles, when deserved. Glad you finally admitted that fact. LOL
If you want to put me up there with the integrity of Phil Spencer, I am gladly honored. ; )
LOL, I must be bad at my job then when I posted things like these:
"Uncharted 4 just needed more time like Arkham Knight and Witcher 3. Remember TLOU was GOTY all over the place after a delay as well. Last thing we want is another broken AAA game like Halo MCC.
Besides, Sony will still outsell the competitions even with less Fall exclusives and a higher price so it won't matter." #8

Even when he does sound a bit like PR, it is all cool as he is just excited about a product on a console he love. Just like many other gamers of another brand doing the same for their console of choice. Nothing wrong with that and we should all be respectful of other peoples' opinion here. I think Digital would be respectful on other's opinions that is differ from his too. At least I would hope so.
OT. Great news as $399 seems like a decent price and hopefully there...
From the article "This of course still doesn’t include the PlayStation Move motion controllers needed to play some titles"
Wait, so some games DO REQUIRE a set of PS move controllers to play? If that is the case, for a person that is looking for the full PSVR experience without any of the previous camera and move controller will need to shell out even more money.
