The music issue is subjective(and in the grand scheme of things not even a problem regardless) and the update was much smaller than 5GB.
So that's 3 things listed. Should have included hardware lockups(hasn't happened to me yet, but many have experienced this) instead. These problems will be ironed out in the coming months.
There are millions of Xboxs in peoples houses. There are tens of thousands of wiius in peoples houses.
That is a huge number disparity.... so I hope you weren't really expecting Halo numbers...
And of course, the wiiu is new with loads of games, so the reletively few exsisting owners are spread out among several titles and not just the 1-2 newest ones.n

For me, MS and Sony have established themselves with bad consumer relations, faulty hardware and uniteresting games full of hideous dlc traps. They are even pushing further ridiculous practices like online passes and adds in paid online services.
So far, nintendo hasn't pulled any of that crap, and is even keeping their 3rd parties in line to stop them goinb overboard. Tekken wiiu for instance HAS NO online pass, while both the 360 and ps3 versions do.

Didn't read, but based of the title:
I thought the Wii was the ps1 of its era... it brought in a whole new market of then "casual" fresh gamers.
The wiiu has launched with a huge library of decent-strong titles and an increased fanbase off the last gen... sounds like a new ps2 to me.
Regardless, looking forward to more great games.. hurry up, pikmin!

Ok, your comment is a good segwey for me. Here is something few know because it is so... strange.
Nintendo is king of efficiency. They have ALWAYS made their consoles out of reletively outdated tech. But this isn't some messed up jigsaw puzzle contraption where none of the pieces fit: their machines end up like frankenstien monsters and always seem more capable(sometimes drastically more so) than the pieces appear on paper.

No, not like the Vita. The wiiu has internal storage. The vita does not.
80 dollars will net you 2TB of data for wiiu. 80 dollars will get you 32GB on vita. (A TB is about 1000 GB)
The wiiu has enough storage for game saves. The Vita REQUIRES a memory card just to boot up many titles.
For wiiu, Buying the required memory will set you back a couple if dollars, unless you need a crapton. And many won't need any but for saves/patches... so w...
I think my download was faster by (i want to say 30 min.) A little bit.
But that doesn't always mean much if the servers themselves are slow... I did mine after midnight EST for instance. Most everyone was probably done with theirs long before then.

I'm quite certain it was. Even if users weren't effected right away, the rrod didn't magically appear out of thin air. It was the result of day 0 manufacturing/design mistakes.
I have been here at least 2 years and have changed little in approach to commenting or opinion. I kept 5 bubbles throughout.

The miiverse most likely deletes anything "reported" a certain number of times atomatically and then it is reviewed. If it is not truely offensive it is put back.
This read like a diagnostic: which is good. Feedback like this will help improve the system overall.
For those who aren't Sony, it probably isn't impotant enough to read though. Unless you are really interested in tech as a job or serious hobby.
