Yeah, Kilt Guy is a beast, no doubt :). I love how they have characters ranging from a 500lb beast swinging a bear trap from a chain, to a 95lb girl on rollerskates.
I'm loving how fast the gameplay is. It looks and handles really well, especially for a handheld title. If I had a PSP, I'd probably pick it up.
Map map doesn't look too bad, but I'm gonna have to pass on it. There's too many good games coming out that I still have to save money for.
In the 360 and competitive community, Gears is pretty much universally known as GoW. In fact, this is the only site I've seen that pushes for that GeoW acronym. Apparently there's going to be a lot of articles for you to correct come September :)
Yeah, I'm loving how it looks so far. It looks so unique. I can't think of any game, especially an FPS, that has roller skates, gliders, grappling hooks, and trampolines in it.
That's such a massive generalization. I seriously doubt the people dissing the game earlier are the same ones commenting on this article, saying they can't wait.
It's hard to judge a game based off watching someone this bad play. From the other gameplay I've seen it looks fun and fast paced. It also has a lot of unique weapons and gadgets. For a downloadable title, it should be pretty good.
Yeah, the 2001-era graphics is the biggest exaggeration in the whole article. The game doesn't look too good by today's standards, but the graphics would have been phenomenal in 2001.
Nothing deserves a zero, unless the game literally doesn't work. I played it, and IMO anywhere between 5-7.5 is a reasonable score. Some reviewers are just trying to give it insanely low scores so they stand out. Trading your credibility away for a one-time surge of hits is not a good way to build a following for your site.
On a mostly 360 based website called "GearsUp", I don't think there should any confusion in calling Gears 3 GoW3 ;)
I don't even play SC2 but watching the stream was still so intense. Reach was awesome to watch too, but I just couldn't get into the Black Ops stream. They need to find a way to make that game more viewer friendly.
This is all stuff that should be free. I mean the core gameplay, graphics, and engine aren't going to be upgraded. The only improved content over the last 3 versions is going to cost a monthly fee. That's pretty weak...
I think the sawed off is almost certainly going to be nerfed. There's just too many people complaining about it for them to ignore it. The spawn system still needs work, but is fixable. There's also Execution and Warzone in the full game, which obviously won't have any spawn issues.
I think a lot of this stuff is going to be fixed by release. They still have months to fix these issues, and they've actually been very responsive to the bug posting on their f...
I was a little disappointed by the video. It's the same footage that was shown before, and the commentary doesn't really give you any new info. The dev is just saying what's happening on screen, and talking about how good the new Frostbite engine and particle effects are. For 1,000,000 likes on Facebook, I really wished they dropped better info than that.
LOL @ all these sites posting up the video that someone stole from the private section of our youtube account. I guess I would do the same if I was in their shoes.
That's the problem with Fable always being overhyped. All 3 games have been good, but people are bound to be disappointed when it's hyped up to be the greatest RPG ever.
Did you watch the video, and are you sure you're talking about sensitivity and not tension? If you are right, then congrats on being much more well-informed than me :)
The tension and sensitivity are two different things. You adjust the tension (how hard it is to physically move the sticks) by turning the nob. You adjust the sensitivity of the thumbsticks by doing the button combo shown in the video.
The deadzone is almost nonexistant, like the PS3 controller. The triggers are kinda ghetto, but it's still better than the Microsoft controller IMO.
"Tech-smart, but not common sense-smart."
That sums up Anonymous quite well :)
"and that doesn't include the crafting, the raids, the multiplayer"
Just like any MMO, it's unlimited if you want it to be. But to fully level and finish the main story quests will probably be 200 hours. At least that's how I interpreted it.
