The more reviews I see, the more I want to try this game out for myself. I'm curious to see how it can be this bad. Based on the screenshots and early videos, I thought it would be at least decent.
Something is messing up with the XBL codes, but this should work:
Put the code in on xbox.com and it'll probably give you an error message. Then go to "My Account", then "Purchase History", and you should be able to add it to your queue and download it. That's the only way I've been able to download the beta so far.
Hating everyone who already gets to play it.
"And yes, this means that unless you play wingman, you don’t have a choice but to use your rifles."
You're wrong on that part. Quoting @PeteNub (Gears dev) from twitter a few hours ago: "#GearsWeekend does not change the regular playlists. It's a playlist that has every gametype in it."
*I* still care about Magic School Bus.
Are they really expecting this online pass to increase sales in a franchise that is all about single player? I'm sorta looking forward to trying out the new MP mode, but in no way is that a deciding factor for me buying the game new. Being able to play it on Day 1 is why I'm buying it new, not for some online pass for a SP game.
I pledge to go commando on September 20th! :)
I love video game crossovers like this. The game was already worth buying too. An awesome game just got even better :)
I think this is a new low. Cutting out single player content has to be the worst "incentive" any dev has come up with yet.
Yes. Ever since Sony became a sponsor, they've been supporting PS3 games a whole lot more than they have in the past. Black Ops and Mortal Kombat are both played on the PS3, and they're also having Resistance 3 and Uncharted 3 tournaments at the next MLG event.

No Final Fantasy minigames in the list? You could almost make a top 10 list just FF games alone.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the game is going to be pretty easy. I bet this achievement will be about as manageable as Fable 3's achievement for not dying - a little tricky at times, but relatively easy as long as you're careful.
One of the best articles I've read since joining the site. Thanks for the good read :)
Also, it's a shame that a Google-translated website with a gallery of demotivational posters ripped from 20 other websites is #1 on the front page, while quality articles like this one will never even see that top banner.
I loved all the Red Faction games, but they took Armageddon in a terrible direction. They cut out the MP, which was amazing and not tacked on in any way in RFG, and made the game more linear. R.I.P. Red Faction :(
I'm in the same boat as you. It's the perfect game to make the wait for Gears 3 more bearable. In fact, it looks like it does at least some things better - melee, customization, classes, and a better sense of verticality. I'm still anxiously waiting for Gears 3, but this looks like the absolute perfect game to play in the meantime.
These are the deals I was hoping the Summer of Arcade would get. Looks like I'll be picking up Bastion after all :)
Looks good for a DS game. I hope the Minecraft devs are able to keep the same kind of transparency about their development on the 360 version.

Any plan that involves giving away games for free sounds great!
The first Darkness was extremely underrated. I'm hoping this one gets the attention it deserves.
My bad. I must've mixed the score up with another review I posted.
