I'm with you there. I'm always surprised to find out how many people actually care about a racing game. And I'm not slagging the PS3 either. Forza can go fly a kite too.
I would've enjoyed Dead Space alot more if it had been two levels shorter. Still a good game, just a biiiiiit too long for me.
I've got no problem paying $60 for an 8-hour game. If I need to justify my spending, I just figure it's $7.50 per hour. That's way less than a movie rental or a night out at the movies. If a game is longer than 8 hours (and if you include any multiplayer), then it's just gravy.
I actually just saw my first God of War commercial on TV last night. I was shocked.
For me, it's all about time. And I just know I won't have time to play this game, especially between Splinter Cell and Alan Wake. Looks like it'll be a decent game, though.
I've never played a Splinter Cell game before, but Conviction is a day one buy for me. Can't wait for this demo!
I was fully expecting this to be at least $10 (800 points) and wondered if they'd try to gouge people for more. The sad truth is that alot of people are going to get these maps no matter the cost. And if this sells well, expect to see $20 map packs within a year.
Don't give a crap is bigger step than who gives a crap.
You mean "plumets." :p
And no, that's not how we spell it in Canada.
Thanks SOAD, though I doubt you'd want to switch 360s even if you knew me, because it RROD'd on me twice already (been good for over a year now, though).
Thanks guys, I'll have to think about this some more. Even my wife thinks it might be a good idea, and if she's encouraging me to spend money on videogames, I may have to listen to her. :D
^ I am not wealthy (quite poor, in fact). I just bought a 42" 1080p LG HDTV, so I don't know how good of a TV that is in the grand scheme of things. I just know a friend of mine said component vs HDMI is a huge difference.
Are there huge visual differences between a component connection and an HDMI connection on an HDTV? I've got an older 360 (no HDMI) and I'm curious if I should take advantage of this price drop and get a new one that has an HDMI connection.
That is all.
Then I think you may hate this game, my friend. The ESRB didn't list any nudity in its rating, and as for blood, the main enemies you're fighting in this game "react to damage by disappearing in a flash of embers and shadows".
The ESRB's Teen rating is 13+.
If Remedy was intentionally scaling the game down to a Teen rating, I think it's a bold move on their part. I'll be interested to see exactly what they'll be able to get away with.
I'm fine with a lower rating, providing the game doesn't feel like it has been shoehorned to fit a Teen rating. I'm buying the game either way, so I'll have to reserve judgement for now...
My cousin is a FF fan and he only owns a 360, so he's happy about FFXIII coming to the platform, because it means he doesn't need to spend $300 on a PS3 to play the game. "Gimped version" or not, he gets to play the game.
So, in his case, Microsoft stealing any exclusivity away worked.
So if Gene Simmons is the "voice of GH6", does that mean during every tutorial and loading screen, he'll ask you to buy Kiss merchandise and to join the Kiss Army?
I wasn't expecting a demo to come out for this. Great news.
You can expect "a lot" of nickle and diming.
