Consoles are future proof in the slightest. The speed at which hardware upgrades get released is cutthroat fast.
By current gen console standards, yes the X has the longest longevity if you're purely looking at specs. It's competing with outdated hardware.
Those who want the best version of 3rd party games already do and have for a few years.....PC!
Comeback when there are exclusives lined up to make people want to go out and buy it who've already invested in a current gen system.
It's competitor is $100 cheaper with a better exclusive library of games. I think I know where the better value is.
The X will sell to the hardcore, do you really think many gamers with an Xbox, PS4 or even switch will suddenly want to drop $499 because of 2 tflops more? Nintendo proved you do need vastly powerful hardware to sell well.
MS better have a a mindblowing of exclusives to expect massive and continuous sales of this console.
50 hits without being a completionist seems fair enough. Looking forward to the eventual western release.
@zackeroni,
PS2 is the best selling console of all time. The PS4 is in track to be the best selling console of the current generation but it won't reach the 155 million number like PS2.
As for the competition, yes it is doing extremely well compared to the Xbox, although the Switch has had a very strong start and topping sales every weeks since release. Nice to see the competition keeping Sony on its toes.
Because he was talking about BC and this article is also about BC. But thanks for trying to deviate and deflect from the narrative.
And no, it isn't funny how he didn't mention it because what Exec will come out and say, "yes, our service or product is a complete and utter failure!"?
They won't offer BC anytime soon because they invested so heavily in the Now service.
No we understand.
As for Pokemon, let's be honest the games were never how they looked because they never looked that good to begin with. It's the gameplay and it being Pokemon that keeps people playing.
Now how can Capcom bring Monster Hunter XX to the Switch when a 3DS version already exists? It looks a little better on Switch but people care about the experience and as long as it is the same then they won't care about how well it looks.
The 3DS install base is already there, they have nothing to lose bringing it to the Switch. Capcom can release Monster Hunter XX on the 3DS and now also bringing it to the Switch, one of 3DS's killer franchise, why not 3DS Pokemon title?
Sometimes I think Nintendo doesn't like money or they have too much that they don't even care.
The customers are there and waiting, Switches are flying off shelves everywhere, they have nothing to lose.
Evolve didn't get canned per se, they reworked the game as a f2p title on PC as Evolved Stage 2. The console versions are basically dead as they completely abandoned it.
Well somebody has got to have low standards!
He blocked you because you probably responded like an arse towards him on not one but two social networking platforms.
The phantom dust review has nothing to with with SJW. You just seemed annoyed he block you so you automatically will attack his review.
I don't think it is biased if it's factual about exclusives. Besides Halo Wars 2 which I bet many have already forgotten about, what other major first party killer titles have released this year?
You don't need to agree with the arbitrary review score if you are already enjoying the game.
The series has gone to the dumps over time, so instead of trying to salvage it and wanting gamers to buy the game EA being EA decides to pull this - although not surprising. But regardless you know gamers will preorder it and EA know it or else they wouldn't do such things.
Well you can blame Nintendo for not implementing any voice chat features through the console itself, so this is what we get.
Nah, bulletstorm was alright. Better than the utter drivel of military copy and paste jobs we get every year.
So if you want to shout and scream about anti consumer then you might want to see who started and kept the paying for online services before shooting down Nintendo doing what MS and Sony have been for years.
Far too risky for them to enter into the market now as much as I would love for a Dreamcast 2. Even if they did, consoles thrive with first party exclusives. I can't see Sonic, Nights, Crazy Taxi or Virtua Fighter selling consoles exclusively l.
Sega is doing fine as a publisher giving us gems from time to time like Yakuza and Total War games.
You are contradicting yourself. First you say it isn't lazy by the devs because of the invest and costs then go on to say sports aren't Nintendo's thing, so why even spend the money if they aren't even going to try?
Fifa is hardly a demanding game, as for there being a market for the game on or not let the market decide. If they intend to bring some kiddy watered down version then of course it will fail if there are better versions on different systems.
The console has been out since late 2013, a price drop is inevitable. As for a back catalogue of PS4 games on Now, why not?
Shut up with that "unfortunately" nonsense. I don't get people who don't want others to experience various titles, it's like pre schoolers chanting we've got it but you can't have it.
Thank god Capcom didn't make it exclusive like previous 3DS MH games.
