Well, it proves that single player games are still wanted. But then again, it also proves that any developer can be corrupted by the mainstream. The only thing i still respect them for is GOG.
Google is going to make Twitch up their game, or they'll be left behind.
The thing is though, Twitch is like a lake for new streamers attempting to make a living. Youtube is like an ocean, which makes it even harder for someone to be noticed.
Attempting to bring it to light, that there's plenty of nonsense going on in the MGS story, is a dead end. People are so set in stone, that what Hideo Kojima has written is gold and without flaws.
One of the most common things is that they enjoyed it, but that has nothing to do with the writing in the games.
Considering the great games were with her only in a supporting role, i think the game is just fine without her.
Fox, even you should know that FF7 wasn't turn based, considering it was an active timer system.
FF7 was like FF12, but the combat presentation is different. That's the simplest way to put it.
You do mention Lost Odyssey, which had the ring system (even if simple) and was actually turn based. I would have no complaints if they made it like that, but chances are they're going to cater to the action crowd.
Being brutally honest here...
Pretty much this. Mobile is just too limited to be taken seriously, not to mention most of the software is made to rip you off.
That's a pretty broad net you're throwing there, considering a lot of people suck these days. :P just before i saw this, i noticed a comment about someone not even being able to beat Killzone: Shadow Fall on easy.
And people mostly complain as well, instead of improving themselves to play better.
Something like Dark Souls takes some thought to beat for sure, and a new player may be confused for a while as to where to go,
Is it a hard game? Not at all, and the example below of not beating Killzone makes me worried if they're designing games for that in the future.
Hitman just doesn't work as a movie, because people want over the top action instead of what it really is.
Konami doesn't need saving, because as it was said, they don't want to be. It's much easier to make money off of clueless people, not to mention those addicted to gambling.
They were bleeding talent for years, and now that talent is creating Kickstarters for games.
Not every company is as bad as those two examples. Activision is an example of it as well.
I'm pretty glad that i didn't back the game, considering the development hiccups it has been through, not to mention them thriving off of selling ships with no game yet.
Star Citizen is a good example of devs not having to care, because they've already been paid for a long time.
In other words, they want to follow the path of Ubisoft and EA.
That's exactly what i thought when seeing this. They're just words coming from him.

Facts, you just gotta love them when it's not suiting your view.
Of course you don't understand such things yet, but it's a big difference to play something connected to a server, and something that doesn't need it. Local > Server.
As soon as the music started in the reboot, it was just an instant mute, honestly. The originals had music that may not have everyone's cup of tea, but it was at least quality.
Just like so many other peoople are pointing out, the author of this probably never played the games, nor researched why this game flopped (and it deserved to do so).
It's not that surprising though, because people never research anymore, nor look at how incredibly different the influences are between original and new age Dante. Original is clearly made by a Japanese developer, while the new age one screams western influence, and he was even smoking in the first trailer. ...
Let's not forget that the games mostly serve as a modding platform, because the world tends to leave something to be desired.
Mainly because they dodged important questions, lied about things that (we knew) were true and that the game was pretty much for new players.
They left players of the previous games out in the cold, because of choices that hardly mattered or made no sense in the dialogue that was offered. It was a dissapointment in that regard, much like a 3rd game in another trilogy.
