You have good taste.
I would easily go with Bloodborne over those two game.
My list for GOTY is:
Winner:
1: Bloodborne
Runner ups in no specific order:
2: The Witcher 3
3: MGSV
4: Until Dawn
5: Mad Max
Knew this was going to be there. Should be a 2015 release date announced for JP and US. I'm guessing possibly a delay to 2016 for EU but hopefully not.
Can't wait to see more, looks great.
Had had my eye on this for a while. Looks very atmospheric a bit like Alien Isolation meets BioShock.
Did you play Until Dawn? If not do yourself a favour. It's a must play for any horror fan.
Finished it twice, and it is a must play game. Saved 5 first try, then everyone second try. Taking a break for Mad Mad (which is frikkin awesome), then will play Until Dawn again, only this time everyone dies :(
Agree. The game is awesome. 9/10 from me but anything less than an 8/10 is a joke. The game is just so fun, and it's massive!
Bloodborne has much better art design, level design, and atmosphere than any of the other nominees. It's my pick.
The order wins from a pure 'great looking graphics' standpoint.
Batman wins on technical achievement taking into account graphical fidelity in an open world setting.
Witcher 3 physical sales ps4 2.21 mil, xb1 0.76 mil.
Batman AK ps4 2.36 mil, xb1 0.89mil
Destiny ps4 5.08 mil, xb1 2.87
Tomb Raider DE ps4 0.95 mil, xb1 0.36 mil
And so on.
I own an XB1 and PS4, primarily play ps4 with exclusives on x1. I feel PS is the better console but really don't care much, games are games and I'm too old for fanboy garbage.
Interestingly if you look at software sales the figures are far more surprising. Most big games e.g. Witcher 3 or Batman, the ps4 is outselling the x1 3 to 1.
@andresegr Yes, its that good, in my opinion it's a much better game than Arkham Knight. Just a really fun game with a lot of awesome little details, and a fantastic open world. It's the best desert type, post apocalyptic setting have seen in a game. Better than Borderlands.
My options for game of the year are Bloodborne, Until Dawn, Mad Max, MGS5, and Witcher 3.
So lame. The 'Extended' edition is just the normal game without the US pre-orders 'bonus' locked out.
Locking out content that is ready day 1 and then charging 25% extra and calling it extended is a very anti-consumer, exploitative business practice.
This is the worst and I am disappointed in Sony/Supermassive for allowing it.
Regardless, Until Dawn is a fantastic game.
Agreed. Looks much better.
Metacritic is flawed. Only takes reviews from certain websites. Doesn't reliably post reviews from every website every time. Doesn't update the metascore (should be 80 currently if you add it up yourself). One of the biggest issues is it also doesn't account for outliers.
Basically don't rely on it.
Your waifu?!?
But Lara and I...I mean we...she said I was the only one. I thought we had something special... :(
Yeah my xb1 hasn't got much use since Sunset Overdrive. Looking forward to some more exclusives launching on it. 2016 should be much better. Can't wait for ROTTR though.
Was excited when this was announced and I thought it was a 3rd person game. Not interested in top down shooters anymore.
Saved 5 my first try and everyone second try. Plus saved the 'bonus' character both times.
Me too, Bloodborne reigns supreme so far. Only Persona 5, Fallout 4, or ROTTR have a chance on beating it this year I think.
