I can't help but chuckle at the Carl Bratananalewski cosplay.
The ranked matches do take longer to search and find than they should, but I haven't experienced any of the bugs mentioned in the article. I picked it up because SF3 was the only one in the series I never played. I enjoy the game more than I thought I would. I've played a number of matches with various friends and I didn't find the game to be any laggier than matches vs the same people in SF4.
I believe the patch either just went live, or will within the n...
They should have a trophy called "Knee-capper" for when you are hiding in a vent shaft shooting the knees of all the guards who come in to investigate, but are unable to crouch and shoot into the vent.
I was excited for the MK Kollection, but its not in HD. :-(
Ubisoft has instituted a more restrictive DRM scheme. After you buy the game you can only play it if you go to their HQ in person and present your receipt.
Unfortunately due to piracy, Ubisoft will not be able to release games anymore.
Good news. Now, can someone update NARC and Smash TV for HD? At the very least someone should be able to get a version of NARC for iOS and Android.
MK2 is my preferred game out of the 3.
EDIT: Uh-oh, my bad. I thought these were HD updates of MK 1-3. In light of that news, the kollection is krap.
Too bad Steve Austin didn't have an Icarus landing system. That power looked much cooler than I expected when I first used it. One of the more badass jump-landings in a video game.
I'd give the game an 8/10.
-1 for "floaty" feeling when moving/moonwalking
-1 for poor commentators. "That play is really going to extend the drive!" No, actually it was a touchdown, so the drive is over. Sometimes inaccurate, often dull.
I don't think its fair to give the game a 9.5 when EA still hasn't solved the issue of players looking and feeling like they are gliding over the field. The players don't feel really connected to the ground. Without trying a few of my players in the demo were doing the Moonwalk.
I'm sure that's okay in NHL 12, but not in a football game played with cleats on turf. That basic issue with walking and running should shave off more than 0.5 points.
It's fun and there's a lot to like about the GGPO. The article is right, this is tough to pick up. I never played the 3 series, but I played all the others. Shame Gief isn't in this one, I have to learn someone new. I was thinking maybe Oro, Q, 12, or urien. My execution is poor so I'll probably use whoever is least combo-reliant.
As long as you let people know that the voucher had been removed before they bought it. My issue would be buying and expecting it to be in there, and see nothing when I got home.
Amazon.com guy here. I've never had a better experience than I have with Amazon's CS reps. They bend over backwards to help out with any question or issue i've ever had. They even took back a game and refunded full purchase price because I didn't like the game and asked nicely if I could return it. Plus their lighting and deals of the day are often pretty awesome.
The more I read about NHL 12, the more excited I am for release day. Even in the short demo I was also able to see a big difference in puck physics and teammate AI. If I'm about to intercept an opponent's pass behind my blue line, my wingers immediately start breaking up ice. Players cycling around the zone is much improved.
Also there seems to be greatly improved AI in the neutral zone on both offense and defense. The anticipation feature not only improves AI pla...
Please don't remind me that Fiscal 2012 runs into calendar year 2013. Lets not think about having to wait that long for Borderlands 2.
I'm excited to see how the 4-man vehicles work out and to get some follow up on the main characters from the first game.
I wonder how the real world cash auction house will be run on the consoles.
I'm pretty excited about this. I'll probably end up getting a copy for PC and for PS3. No matter which room the wife is in, i'll have a Diablo 3 refuge.
...and if refers to the rarity. I was suggesting that the rare weapons might not be just "pearlescent", but instead a new company might be introduced as mfr of the high powered rare weapons. Hopefully the same company that operated the broadbrain satellite mind-link. :-)
I was hoping to hear something about the rare items. I wonder if it will still be the pearlescent name or if it will be from a new company. I can't wait for this!
My only wish is to have at least one fast travel location per zone (especially in the DLC).
Complain all you want about retro style graphics, but it was a choice, not a requirement. They chose that style on purpose, you just didn't care for it.
That style does appeal to some gamers, just not Nuclear Duke and Baka. No big deal. Its too bad you can't understand that just because you don't enjoy a game, that does not mean it is a bad game.
It is a good game, and has been praised and recieved high review scores from well over a dozen ou...
So "rich" people get an edge? An edge in what exactly? The game is decidedly focused on co-op, not competition. If I've got an hour a day to play, I at least have the option to drop an extra dollar or two for an item to be able to keep pace with some other friends who have more time.
Is it really such a travesty to have co-op people with decent gear?
I also heard a rumor that the RMT will not be available for all difficulties? The rumor was ...
Wish #1 - Jensen learns to climb a chain link fence. Or at least use the aug strength to pull the fence up enough to crawl inder it.
Wish #2 - Silly AI enemies learn to crouch to shoot into a vent shaft while I am shooting them in the knees. Alternatively they could least roll a frag grande in the vent ;-)
Wish #3 - DLC
The game is awesome and I can't wait to get home from work to play more.
That is all.
