I don't need Xbox One to play Forza Horizon 3, I can just get it on PC like every other microsoft "exclusive". If you want quality exclusives, Xbox One is not the console that comes to mind.
DrJones: I completely agree, Obsidian are great storytellers!
Yeah, I hope Bethesda will step up their game for the next elder scrolls.
Fallout 4 was not the leap I had hoped it would be.
As long as it's forward and backwards compatible I don't see a big issue with it, I think I can get used to this new model.
If power was THAT important, why did PS2 dominate it's generation, why did the original Playstation win over N64, why did NDS become the best selling portable against PSP, why did Wii sell better then the more powerful PS3 and X360, why did Gameboy curbstomp GameGear. Could it be that power is just one of many things people look at when buying hardware? Hmmm...
I think Capcom is the factor that made him great, back then everything (almost) that Capcom made were great. Their japanese studios had so much talent, Inafune did his part but there was more at play there.
Microsoft caved, not surpriced.
You can buy a Scorpio right now (with free online), it's called a PC. ;)
rainslacker: Wrong on many accounts. First of all, roms are legal to play if they are unlicensed and original, there are many unlicensed games out there for a lot of old school systems. Making backups is easy on diskbased systems, and there are ways to make backups of cartriges too if you really want to, even if most people will download them (lets be honest here). Weather you are allowed to play backup licensed games or not is irrelevent, you are still allowed to hold them (if backups) and t...
The thing is, there will always be something more powerful on the horizon, now the most powerful thing coming is the Pro, next is Scorpio, but after that there will be the next thing to take their place. What I think people care about is a product that they feel invested in, and that's were Sony has the advantage. It's just a more established, trusted brand and I don't see that changing any time soon.
Cool story bro.
Nintendo can't do much, emulators are fully legal, even roms are legal if you have them as backups when you own the original game.
jwillj2k4: Look up the words goodwill and customer service, any developer that cares about their future success will have very robust system in place to offer the best possible experience for the paying customer. It's for their own benefit to make us happy, most companies understand this, those who don't tend to go out of business.
@MagiciandudePro Can you make the list in alphabetic order please, we need structure here.
yeah, I buy physical media to, really bad call of Sony not to include a 4k bluray drive. You would think they wanted to push their own format, but now it's Microsoft(!) who do the pushing for them. Like wtf?
Sales will be great for Sony this christmas, they have both the slim and Pro ready for the holydays while Scorpio is missing in action for another year. This will cement the PS4 lead this generation. I will be upgrading, so it's not a pointless console to me and many others, just insecure fanboys bickering.
I would rather buy a second copy of Witcher 3 and give it away to support CDPR, then to buy Rise of the Tomb Raider.
XXanderXX: Thank god people like you are a minority, or we would all pay full prices for games as a rental service.
