Literally one just has more games coming out with the console. Like Gamepass sure for Xbox but PS has actual launch titles.
Everyone still has an equal opportunity to get a console even if the time isn't known. Sure, people can get pissed for not knowing exact times but at least scalpers not botting won't know either. If both parties don't know, it's still equal.
I think it's more the fact Nintendo and Sony were made in Japan. Kind of like how Xbox sells the most in the US. Xbox was also late to the party and consumer loyalty is a large factor.
Sony launched their first phone in 2008 but by that time Apple had already released their iphone along with major fixes.
Japan has also never been the best of friends with the US
Even if they did tell exact times scalpers and botters will be on the lookout at those exact times. Complain all you want about not knowing exact times, but it really won’t make much of a difference as Xbox showed earlier.
They said the starting price for a 250 gig was 90$. Often times they lower the prices proportionally to storage amount. So I’d assume 300 at the end of the year. But I’m hoping competition drives the prices down fast.
Did Sony not already state the SSD was replaceable just like the PS4 HDD?
I would rather Sony let their developers do what they wanna do, it's how we get such amazing games so often. No way in hell we were going to get games like Ghost of Tsushima, Dreams, and Horizon without Sony's hands off approach.
What about 505 games?
I wonder what kind of SSD's will be made with PS5 compatibility. The Samsung SSD 980 Pro appears to be up to the task, wondering how much the 2TB will cost coming out at the end of the year. Would be nice to be able to take out the current one and put it in my PC and put a 2TB one in my PS5.
So you are telling me a new technology that just came out to the masses is having issues in some cases? never would have guessed
I assume the Pulse 3D headset Sony is selling will do the job.
Did Notch not sell Minecraft? His entire career to MS
@porkchop
I mean, Xbox Series S is kind of, half the space and making you pay 150+ for more storage. Also a weaker console in general.
So the game will look the same but loading times and sound will be better on ps5?
I mean, as long as Sony has a huge share of the console market I doubt publishers would actually want to go exclusive to a minority owner. Sony owns basically everywhere but the US and Japan. It’s one thing to buy companies, but having the consumers is the only thing to keep a business afloat.
A trillion dollar company thinking about buying other companies? Never thought about that one /s
If Horizon FW looks like Horizon ZD but runs at 60fps I'll be happy to buy. We haven't even seen what the game will look like overall so I'm not gonna judge. The problem with Halo was the game looked so poor even for an Xbox One X game in the demo.
If by this year you mean 365 days after console release. Sony is offering Demon Souls, Destruction Allstars, and Godfall at launch only on PS5 and PC (if you have one) and seems that they are also offering Deathloop, Ghostwire, and GoW Ragnarok within the first year of release (only on PS5 and PC). MS is offering gamepass which is a great value for many people and those who dont wanna spend money sums of money on PC will certainly think it will good enough for a next-gen console.
...
I assume that image indicates the pounds to dollars amount given that the Series X is slated at $500 in the US.
I like how people are all up in arms about this while others are buying the wrong Xbox console because the names are such shit.
