Might have something to do with tariffs and perhaps the new PM of Japan?

I remember the Bad Company days, great campaigns. So maybe one of these installments will have something like that again.

Given the around 500 games in my steam library and making the assumption I will live to like 85 that is more than 5 games per year for me. Hehehehe

There is no way you think the company that copyrights anything related to them on the internet, keeps games at $60 for 5 years, and sells underpowered consoles for the same price as the others is NOT greedy...

Isn't the pacing and environments part of gameplay? Like depending on the stuff you can interact with in the environment and what the gameplay is at various point (pacing). In TLOU you can set traps, go guns blazing, or try to take everyone out silently depending on resources. Uncharted has less variance in most of the game but in 4 you did get to have some control over stealth.

If the best we are going to get is exactly what companies want us to see then I'm going to question the legitimacy of every statement that is subject to statistical fallacy or manipulation. Just because I question something doesn't mean the goalposts are changing, it just means I am wondering why the person made such a statement yet only used data to support their argument. That's just biased journalism in hopes to gain more clicks.

There are so many statistical caveats with a statement like this. It would mean a lot more if the game sold more on Xbox in the next couple years than PS proportional to the units sold (but Xbox doesn't like showing that so the stats that matter will always be questioned).

Jim Ryan really got paid nearly 4 million dollars to lose Sony about 500 million.

She hasn't lasted at a single company for more than a 6 year tenure. Just look at her wiki. She also hasn't exactly created great games for a decade. I'm honestly kind of happy she is gone at this point.

EA 2003-2004
Ubisoft Montreal 2004-2010
Ubisoft Toronto 2010-2014 (she founded this studio as well and left in the same timeframe as Haven)
EA 2015-2018
Google 2019-2021
Sony 2021-2025

I know like 5 people right now that are not buying the Switch 2 after buying the Switch. Obviously anecdotal but I doubt it will have the same sales numbers in the US that the Switch did.

Glad that they decided to go a different route and seems they are learning from their mistakes.

I feel like every successful live service game was made to be something else. Striving to be a live service game should never be the end goal, make a good game and then evolve it to whatever it might become. Fortnite was a tower defense coop game when released.

Sony was talking about making diverse developing teams that can feel welcomed in the gaming industry and not feel marginalized. Arrowhead is talking about not forcing diversity into the games they make and letting it be more about what they want to make then an agenda.

Very different things.
