Either you buy a GPU the same cost as a PS5 or you buy an SSD that is maybe half the price
Consoles will always be good for younger gamers and those not wanting to enter high end pc market.
Love it or hate it, it got your emotions up and not many games of this type do that anymore.
I wonder if that means making games less than 20 hours. Honestly that would be fine for me as long as the quality doesnt go down.
Yah, hope the anti cheat gets a major update, who the hell actually cheats in a game like this? So weird
The fact that every gun will have a slightly different feel with the controller is absolutely next level immersion. That is like recoil with guns and how each is slightly different and such.
The game was such a success they are giving content for free? Hell yah, plus already custom servers and cross plat. This is an indie dev and they are already doing way better than most AAA devs.
Really? 4K 60fps Spiderman doesn't impress? Guess you will have to enjoy Halo- wait nvm, not a launch title.
Sucker Punch really hit it out of the park. 40+ hours of content from the beginning and now coop raids and such based in Japanese myth!
Sounds like you are just bad
Honestly, cheaters have become rampant on PC and it will likely only get worse until developers figure out better anti cheats.
I mean yes, I understand all of that I have a very good PC. However, just those two parts you listed are around the same price as a console. Add the mobo, ram, storage, PSU and you got yourself something that can play shit at 60fps but cost way more than what the next consoles will. Of course you could probs find rebates and deals but I highly doubt that PC would be cheaper and more effective than new gen consoles.
PC gaming will need to get cheaper hopefully. Paying 500$ for hardware capable of 120hz at 1080p means that PCs will have to be able to compete with that sort of thing. If these consoles are truly able to hit 4K 60fps then PCs cant have GPUs that cost the same as the console and give maybe the slightest more if it wants to compete. At the same time, PC gamers dont tend to care about cost, more about the fact that PCs are not super friendly to younger audiences and those not adept and scare...
Honestly, Ray Tracing is nice, better graphic fidelity is nice, but the sound design that I can see Sony devs doing will likely be the big factor for me.
Damn, didn't know Frodo was into programming.
Gaming was created from passion and drive. Every game has a reason for being made besides to sell it. Sometimes those reasons are more explicit and other times devs get a wisp of influence that leads to a pet project. But to throw money at something and tell them to make it is a lot like making a high school student read a book and write about an argument they dont care for. Sure, some devs will find ways to make it interesting and ways to add their own twist or get passionate about it. ...
As long as this trend continues I will be more than willing to support Sony developers in their creativeness especially with massive AAA story games. I don't want them to die and I will gladly give money to companies that utilizes good practices even if the game may not be the greatest of the bunch (not saying GoT is that at all btw).
The game really does something most games fail at: it makes you think about the story and what it could mean. I spent hours thinking about what happened and why it did. It's like multiple interpretations make sense but which one do you think it is kind of deal.
I would way rather have coop than MP tbh. Maybe add like raids on another island with friends or something like how Breakpoint does it?
I am honestly fine with the whole digital stuff but i do wish that they would implement like a family system like how steam has it so friends and family could play your games and stuff.
