What is the point of holding market share if it isn't profitable? Why not just cut that part out and put the money into something that is doing well....

There is a difference between shooting yourself in the foot and trying to cut some fat out.

If Santa Monica actually makes a VR version with new motion controllers and the new VR I would buy instantly.
I thought it would be cool to have a game in that universe but like Planetside 2 with huge bending battles.
The only thing that would have made Sony 2020 better is if they could keep up with demand of PS5. I feel Nintendo did better than a C but opinions are opinions.
Put this on PC, make it online MP compatible. The game is wonderful, it just needs to get a bigger audience to thrive. Make it something anyone can play and make it something you can play with friends online.

Not necessarily, the customization that you can have through streaming on computer applications like OBS really ups the quality. Being able to control the bit rate, overlay, labels, etc really increases production value.
PS5 is almost doubling Xbox in sales.....

The game itself is great, it has lots of fun content, customization, super moddable, great atmosphere, great story, fun characters, solid controls, and good graphics.
But is has game breaking glitches and bugs that just ruin the above hence spoiling whatever greatness could have been.

It's probably because MS got the rights to advertise it. Now they have to basically sell a broken product at this point.
My unrealistic expectation of non buggy and glitchy game.
It is still buggy as hell. Sure it runs better but seeing glitches at 60fps doesn't make the glitches any better.
This is on my radar. Hope it plays as good as it looks!
Honestly, a 60fps 4K patch is all it needs. Game looks great still.
