They should have made it F2P if they are going live service route. Why would anyone play it if they could play OW or Marvel Rivals for free?
Did they play on the console or on PC?
I know I'm gonna be buying Astrobot. I agree, platformers are so fun and are a unique challenge. Just look at todays big steam games that aren't PvP or Survival like Chained Together, Only Up, A Difficult Game About Climbing, etc.
I feel like Halo is also just getting less popular
Seems a bit rough, but if you look back at OW early stuff it was also nothing like now. And I don't mean OW2.
Project 2025, Xbox Edition
So they bought a bunch of studios and are now firing many of the devs? They probably don't have the money, they are only worth like 2 trillion dollars or something /s
It happened when Sony pushed the PSN account shit. Terrible move that could have cost them a lot of money.
Wasn't the engine built for upscaling tech?
Wait, they do that? ACTUALLY THO? I thought that shit was purely comedic and speculative.
I hate Phil Spencer with a passion. He couldn't make it in politics so he's doing it in gaming.
I am guessing that means they want to figure out how to become more of a social platform. The whole point of social platforms is to get people looking and increase revenue from ads/sponsors.
I really hope this game isn't the end of Ninja Theory. Now that MS has shown they don't care about studios success in new or old genres and will close them. I fear we may never get a Heavenly Sword 2.
I feel like MS has released more controllers than games this generation.
I doubt Phil will be removed. Right now investors care about AI and making the most money possible. If that means laying off people and closing studios then do it for them.
So Bethesda gets bought out and the developers at the studio are forced to publish a half-baked game. The game does horribly so now they are being shut down? The devs that made Deathloop, Prey, and Dishonored make one bad game and just like that...
They really need to start observing more and talking less
It's also the fact you can unlock everything through grinding and that the grinding is actually fun.
1. DD2 is an ARPG with 8 different playable classes
2. There is no multiplayer aspect to the game
3. You can only have one character (have to pay for more)
4. You cannot delete the character unless you go into the game files
5. The game is $70 dollars upfront
Having to pay for more character slots in a game that *features* 8 playable classes is pretty much not optional for an ARPG.
Wasn’t it Naughty Dog that decided to stop production because they couldn’t make it to their standards? I think Concord was just a new developer out it’s league.
