Wait, how did they announce Q1 of 2025?
I think I will trust the people that work with the console and the people that will eventually play it.
Right now it's just all technical previews and I doubt anyone here is unbiased.
I have a PC, I just don’t have 2k to splurge.
You have waited nearly 6 years to say that.
Absolutely worth it
“I don’t play on subscription services because I like to own my games, PHYSICALLY”
Why must the world create idiots who spew nonsense and more idiots who listen.
A 4090, a card that costs $1600... can't play the game at 4k, 30fps, with ray-tracing without DLSS.
I'm honestly insulted by your lack of common sense.
It is literally called Ghost of Yotei...
It's obviously not Tsushima and given it takes place around 400 years after GoT that explains why there is no Jinn.
I would honestly prefer remasters/remakes/reboots of games than GaaS they have tried to push.
Ok so you are somewhat correct, Herman Hulst managed studios since 2019, at which time Firewalk was not technically part of PS studios. In 2023 Sony purchased Firewalk, Herman Hulst was then placed as a CEO of SIE and Studio Business Group in June of 2024.
So basically he didn't have the final say on purchasing Firewalk. The person to actually blame for this would be Jim Ryan. He was the head of everything until he retired in 2024. Herman Hulst was under him.
Wasn't this game in development way before Hulst became an exec?
That's a 3 month high for the game. Good to see!
I am so glad I bought the physical copy now!
I can see Astro Bot being like the wizard guy from Mario Kart where when you fall off he fishes you out or something. It's clear though that the developer is pushing Astro Bot into Mascot territory with how the game works and the story for this game. Imagine Karting through New York while the map changes from a fight Spiderman is having with Sandman. Or going up mount Olympus while Kratos fights Poseidon. All the epic shit they could pull off with the set pieces that have already been mad...
It was way ahead of it's time. With successes like VRchat I could see pshome making a return tho
Well Astro's look is actually comparative to PlayStation. Sackboy was supposed to be just a simple customizable guy. Astro actually has the look.
I can see Astro becoming the next franchise honestly. Brilliant platforming and enough possibilities to make a variety of games.
Astro Brawl
Astro Party
Astro Go
Astro Kart
It's literally the perfect setup for a PlayStation collaboration type games. Hell, I could see an Astro Home game that brings back PS Home.
I would rather have remakes of these classics than the GaaS push they are trying to do.
At this point I think Sony knows they sunk too much money into developing these games so they are just getting them out and trying to keep a optimistic outlook. I don't think I have seen a exec ruin a companies reputation as fast as Jim Ryan did for PS.
Just waiting for Phil to hire them now.
It's actually closer to 250x more in the US. In Japan it's about 12x more.
