If only they trained the new people or something...
Man some people are just unbelievably naive.
So MS can just buy whatever they want. "Free markets free", the biggest lie ever sold to boomers.
OJ Simpson anyone?
I'm not saying to make it massively multiplayer or PVP, just would be nice to explore and kill hordes with a friend or 2.
Wonder if Sony will give Bend another chance at Days Gone. The game was great, just maybe not the same quality as other PS exclusives. They are on the right track though, for their first new IP since 1999 I would say they should be given a chance to polish in a sequel. I can only imagine the madness of hoards they can make with the PS5. Maybe add a coop mode so that friends can be like a biker gang together and take out giant hordes with each other.
Just seems stupid to no...
It may have never been discussed but I am pretty sure a few people made decisions are at least put the idea out there.
I think it's less about if they force people to (obviously they don't) but whether they pay the top execs of the publishers a lot of money to do so and then those execs fire the people who made the game to save money. Basically giving them lots of money in case the game fails while making the actual developers unemployed.
Speculation ^
Link plz
That implies that you called them a liar...
You start making a business to make money, but you don't need to be the industry leader to make money. But there is a reason why non-profits and charity work exists. If money is everything to you you likely are causing more harm than you realize.
Man, this just keeps getting worse. First the 30fps on console and now it's exclusively using an arguably worse technology for PC?
I assume most devs put their games on GP either because it's contractual or because MS offers them a lot of money.
Innovation, money, helping others, legacy, creating a better world
Off the top of my head at least.
At this point, I think Phil is trying to delay his firing/resignation so that he can make as much money as possible. After all this, I wonder who would actually want to hire this guy to run a company. Don Mattrick, the previous Xbox spokesperson, got fired and then went to Zynga, and then got fired after less than 4 years.
I would have something besides Windows if there was another decent OS system for gaming. It's the only MS product I use.
See, Apple has an incredibly loyal customer base and they actually make great products while attempting to keep up in the smartphone department. MS is just trying to spend a fortune to get rid of competition because their competition is significantly smaller. It's a dick move, then again, many know the joke of why they call it Microsoft.
They actually have over 2 trillion dollars to work with. Yet they are getting beaten up by a company 1/20th their size in one industry.
@jznrpg
IM HOLDING YOU TO THAT
Starfield estimated costs are above 200 million dollars. They had 4 people make No Mans Sky (which is now like 20 or something?). Either way, no way they spent that much making the game with so few people.
You are right, It was actually around 400x times expensive, decided to do the research lol
Yeah, why are we wasting taxpayer dollars on trying to keep a large corporation from spending more money on our campaigns?
The whole idea of "wasting" money is such a strawman argument, especially when your country is supposedly the wealthiest in the world. If other countries with fractions of the US budget can afford this, the only thing stopping the US is the US.
