I think America ought to get used to it. Gaming is here to stay.
Just like using a computer, gaming has gone from a nerdy, inaccessible hobby to nearly ubiquitous. Did you know that 85% of 2-to-4-year-olds play games of some kind? It's true. Same goes for teenagers – and the numbers are going up.
Weird. I played Thexder and Thexder 2, both published by Sierra, on my Tandy 1000 EX back in the day.
What's with these guys?
I was ready to buy a Go. The money was burning a hole in my pocket and October 1 couldn't come quickly enough. But I couldn't bring myself to pre-order – the UMD problem was unresolved and the fact that virtually no games had shown up on the PS Store was making me have some serious second thoughts.
Looks like I was right to wait. I'm sticking with my 2000, thanks.
Now what shall I do with this $250?
I bought one off Ebay for about $60. It's in mint condition, though. Still, that's pretty pricey.
True, true.
Man, if there's a Subsistence version of MGS4 in the works with extra missions, trophies AND updated graphics I will be first in line to buy it.
Yeah, Peace Walker using the MGS4 engine would be much better on PS3.
I'm not an industry expert like some of the folks around here, but this is obviously to get people to buy a PSP Go. I'd say it worked on me, but I just bought a PSP 2000, so take that, Sony – although I 'm still really looking forward to the game.
It doesn't seem like PSP gets much love in general on N4G – a lot of the time comments come eight hours apart. I guess either the console war is more in...
I pre-ordered this from EB Games and it's not in yet! It was supposed to be out on the 22nd.
I personally don't want the PSP to end up like the iPhone and iPod touch.
So what if they have 20,000 games and we have 600? I'm betting that 90% of those games are shít anyway.
Not everything has to be quick, cheap and easy.
I'm almost 100 hours into Persona 4 and I'm actually a bit sad that it's going to end soon, so you can bet I'll be picking up Persona and Persona 3 for the PSP.
Real games FTW!
That'll be in the options menu.
I went into Home for the first time in months last night. Played some Buzz. It was okay. Bought an eyepatch...best 50 cents I've ever spent.
If they're bringing it to the PSP they must be having some success with it.
Downloaded. Looking forward to this one.
Hmmm...it's really too bad that we have to chose from this puny little list. If I wanted to download any of these I would've already.
There are 700 games coming – why not any of those?
Good. Because if Activision had their way they'd have have some random developer phone it in year after year and still make millions.
At least this way we get a good game out of it, despite King Kotick.
Well, I guess that's good. It kinda makes you wonder why there have been so few games on the store up until now, though. I would've bought MGS: Portable Ops months ago if it had been available.
Nickleback is the best rock band of our generation!
I think we already figured out earlier today while discussing the whole Uncharted 2 8/10 review fiasco that the numbers are ultimately meaningless.
Well, around here anything below 80 is considered a total failure and is utterly unbuyable, so I'd say that, yes, 91 is a lot higher than 84.
Really? I subscribed to Qore just for this and I had my code three days before this part of the beta started.
Not surprising. Good or bad, and for whatever reason, Halo is a phenomenon. Killzone 2 is just another kick-ass shooter.
Kinda sorta maybe makes me want to get an Xbox a little bit.
Is this a surprise to anybody?
The fact that there's no beta is more disturbing.
