Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I always love me some Kojima!
Kinda, the head guys took some of the team to form Pumpkin Beach while the rest were purchased by Crytek (the Crysis guys). So right now Crytek has the rights to the series but they are busy with Crysis 2.
Yeah, Timesplitters 4 would be awesome. I think we will get one eventually. If it wasn't for the abortion that was Haze, we would have had T4 in probably late 2009 or early 2010. Knowing that makes me hate Haze even more for killing Free Radical. How 1 dud killed them, I have no idea.
No matter how much I tried, I just couldn't ever get into Warhawk. It was just wasn't fun to me.
Edit: Yeah it just wasn't my type of game but I know tons of people loved it and play it still. It was a well done game in terms of features, customization, general polish, and support even I will admit that. That game does have huge scale and ZERO lag. That is where I give it major props, I never saw even the tiniest bit of lag, ever. It got great reviews and sales so the fans deserv...
As sick as cross platforming would be, it will never happen. Microsoft and Sony would have to work things out with one another and when you are sworn enemies competing with one another, you got a better chance of getting struck by lightning 17 times in the same spot then cross play between the Xbox and PlayStation happening. Not to mention, imagine the verbal wars between the fanboys over the mic, "IMMA PWN YOUR PLAYSTATION LOVEIN' ARSE WITH MY UBERELITE 360 GAMEPAD, B!TCH!"
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Socom 1 and 2 (Because Confrontation is complete pants, Slant Six = worst developer ever!)
No trophies
No rumble
No custom music
No PS Home launching
No fix for "connection interuputed"
No fix for "Host ended game"
No host migration
Way to fail guys! Infinty Ward made a good game but their post launch support for the PS3 was some of the worst to date. For a game that sold like 4 million copies on the PS3, they sure did give us all the finger. I am telling you right now, I won't buy Modern Warfare 2 if ther...
Cool, I will probably rent the game anyway. With no multiplayer or co-op, I don't see the need to spend $60 on it, especially with Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare right around the same time. I liked Tools of Destruction.
No Master Chief?
No Solid Snake?
What the hell? And how could anyone like Gordan Freeman? He has no personality for crying out loud. I never understood the silent hero, it is incredibly lame to me. Half-Life 2 is one of the best games of all time because of the gameplay and story itself, not because of the hero you play. Because he never says anything and has no development, I feel totally dis-attached to the character.
The only Batman game I have played is the demo of Arkham Asylum, I was mighty impressed with the amount of polish and blend of action and stealth. The demo sold me on it.
Well, if it makes you feel better, they actually gave the PS3 version the edge. Good to see the PS3 users are no longer getting the shaft.
I agree that exclusive DLC sucks, I mean if you are going to be a multiplatform developer, then support that game on both sides. Why give the finger to half of your sales? What is that going to get you, other than a bunch of pissed off gamers? I am still angry as hell at Rockstar with the GTA4 DLC too. Atleast Bethesda pulled their head out of their a$$es and brought the Fallout 3 DLC over.
This game definitely wins my, "Most surprisingly good game" award. It is AAA for crying out loud on Metacrtic! With some of the more harsh review sites like Eurogamer giving it extreme praise too. It is definitely this years "Dead Space", a sleeper hit for sure. I really expected it suck: a licensed game, there hasn't been a good Batman or comicbook superhero game in years, a no-name developer, and a sudden delay.
I was one of the suckers who was pulled into the hype of the first Assassin's Creed. It was complete garbage and I am going no where near the second one. As for Modern Warfare 2, I will wait and see. I loved CoD4 and played it along with World at War to death, but that is the problem...the formula is old now. I will only get it, if there are major changes, like dedicated servers to fix that annoying host ended game and connection interrupted crap, better stat tracking, better balancing becaus...
I think it is a tad too late for this, honestly. Yeah, GTAIV was cool and all a year and a half ago but we got Uncharted 2, Halo:ODST, and Modern Warefare 2 in a few months. We also got MAG, Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption, and Bioshock 2 in early 2010.
Media Molecule still needs to fix the online lag and broken "Play", "Create", and "Share" counters on the "My moon". It has been, how many months since launch for crying out loud?
Awesome flick, I am SO looking forward to the Bluray!
LOL! I loved the bit with "My clock! A marvel of science and sorcery, in the EXACT CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE! *Evil laugh* "Give or take 50ft"
The "OH! You win again technology" bit was funny too.
As of last night, all of these bugs I mentioned were still present. So I don't know what you are talking about. I am still waiting on the 1.5 patch that was announced in March.
I like that idea cyclindk about having to press a button or something as you die. Like the other guy said Martyrdom is easy to avoid in the team deathmatch modes. It is in the objective modes where it gets annoying. I have been killed tons of times trying to capture a flag on domination, an enemy runs up, I kill him, his martyr grenade drops, and then I die. Most of the time you are prone when trying to capture a flag and you cannot get up and run away fast enough. And as for trying to pick u...
