Probably. They need to show it off looking as best as it can so that people are excited to buy it. If they show off a lesser version, people just might go "Meh." and walk away.
It'll look better on PS360 than BF3 did....but it won't look pretty. PS4/X1 will look very good, but running at 60fps is going to mean a drop in extra effects compared to what was shown at the reveal.
IF EA wasn't completely lazy, they could have a Wii U version t...
Personally, I think Club Nintendo is a better deal.
You earn points by buying games and filling out surveys (none of which take more than 5 minutes), can use those points on free games or actual physical items, and if you get enough points in a year you get another free gift of your choosing...calendar, posters, soundtrack, VC game etc
And best of all, it's free. You may not get the discounts, but everything you get you own forever and you don't have ...
It's $100 less.
You don't HAVE to get the Deluxe version, and if you are going to use the Deluxe as the base, you need to make the content with the PS4 equal.
Basic Wii U, online multiplayer: $300
PS4, online multiplayer: $450
Deluxe Wii U, game + online multiplayer: $350
PS4, game + online multiplayer: $510
Deluxe Wii U, game + online multiplayer + Pro controller: $390
PS4, game + online multi...

"Move along, nothing to see here. Just the same ole crap everyday for the trolls to reap up."
This reads just like every other "I'm disappointed Nintendo didn't do what I wanted with their console" opinion piece submitted here every, single day.
The author claims that there is "a large supermarket chain [is] no longer buying the hardware, the reason is because it would be a poor inve...
I wish the first post would be the same on Nintendo articles. The internet is becoming a disgusting place to be a gamer.
If you don't mind....I'm going to copy/paste your comment on trolly Nintendo articles that suggest the Wii U is dead or is doomed to fail or that Nintendo will be bankrupt etc etc. haha
The main problem is licensing. Nintendo could release all of their titles at once, but third party would be left in the cold.
Also, if they released the entire NES library, smaller titles would get swallowed by the original LoZ and things like that. It makes more sense to release a few titles a week or so, let them ride a nice wave of profit for each of the smaller titles, have Miiverse posts hype the game....and then repeat the process over and over. Long term profits vs sho...
"Wii U ports will be awfully downgraded."
It won't be anything terrible.....at worst it'll be the equivalent of a PC game running at Max settings vs Medium settings....mid-high if the developers optimize. It won't be anything close to the difference between PS360 and Wii.
HD vs HD is a MUCH smaller difference than SD vs HD.
The internet has become a place of mindless Nintendo and MS bashing lately. It's getting really old, really fast.
I own all three last gen consoles, a Wii U, plan on getting a PS4 eventually and maybe the Xbox down the line when there's something that REALLY grabs me. MS is doing a lot of reversals, but overall it's making the product better. It's just sad that they have to make all these changes in the first place.
If you boot up a demo 15-30 times.....just go ahead and buy the game. You obviously enjoy it quite a bit....just support the developer.
This kind of article would get reported to hell and back as flame bait if it were about the Xbox One. But because it's Nintendo, it's okay to smash it.
I agree with everything except that they will all make a profit. Nintendo most certainly will because that's their business model. Microsoft and Sony on the other hand...not so much.
They both lost over $4 billion last gen...not a dime of profit overall. Don't get me wrong, I have loved my time with my 360 and PS3 (and Wii and now Wii U) but they were not in the least bit profitable for MS and Sony.
Gamers win console wars, not companies.
Thing is, if the non-gamers have completely left Nintendo, then they have completely left MS and Sony as well.
154 million "core" gamers didn't buy the two consoles. Loads of them bought a PS3 for the blu-ray player, which isn't made better by the PS4 and 4K is too cost prohibitive at the moment. A lot of other people bought the 360 when Netflix was offered, and then there was Kinect, and of course the multiple consoles bought due to the RROD.
Only when you look at the companies as a whole. Put MS's gaming division up against Nintendo and you've got yourself a different picture considering they lost ~$4 billion on the 360 alone. Really the Xbox brand has never been profitable.
Microsoft can definitely funnel money from other divisions, but if they don't turn things around they could end up dropping it. Nintendo can sustain itself for 30-40 years with losses exactly like they took this year...every year....
Pachter is wrong far too often to be considered a legit analyst. It's quite ridiculous really.
He has even admitted to basically throwing shit at a wall and seeing what sticks. Just make a prediction for anything and everything.
Reminds me a lot of this story I wrote a while back, but less extensive.

They started pulling the bullshit before the Wii U was even released. They half-assed Madden and FIFA, and completely sabotaged Mass Effect.
That had absolutely nothing to do with sales.
"Nothing can sell the Wii U..."
Lol: http://playeressence.com/ja...
Try harder next time, yeah?
Hardware profitability...probably. They are definitely selling it at a loss, so they'll need PS+ and digital software sales to be through the roof. Retails is good too, but a high digital attach rate brings in much more dough. Especially if they are first party games.
I think just as long as the games have some space between releases, it'll be fine. X1 however, is going to be a war zone since every console is a dev kit. It makes me worry that it'll be like the iOS store.....curated, but just barely.
@theWB27
Because they explicitly talked about the Frostbite engine "brought to you on a Nintendo system." and spoke of their "unprecedented partnership"
The laziness comes from them "trying out" Frostbite 2 on unfinished Wii U dev kits (rumored to be locked at one CPU core until launch) with poor documentation, not getting "favorable results" (most likely due to a lack of optimization)....and so they don't even both...
