Right? How do articles like this get approved?
Say one bad thing about the PS4 or X1 and it gets reported to hell and back as "Lame" and "Flame bait"....but this gets sent through, no problem.
You can get hits without being an utter moron though...
Hell....Pikmin 3 gave it a sales boost. It may not have been a huge boost....but it helped move consoles nonetheless.
Better than not selling out though...
You do know that second parties are simply long-term contracted third parties right?
Level 5 is a second party to Nintendo, but it hasn't stopped them from releasing games on other systems...nor has it restricted them to simply one franchise.
Right? I got a Wii U in December and I don't feel cheated or that I "deserve" a price drop. My Wii U has actually relegated my PS3 and 360 to "dust collectors" since around February.
Besides, anyone who buys the system now or after the price drop didn't have access to the Anniversary games. It's tough to beat Super Metroid for $.30
People need to grow up a little bit and see that just because something changes, it doesn't m...
Well...if people on the "right" systems (according to you) would have bought the original, Sega might have been interested in publishing the sequel.
Don't like it? Too bad. Buy a Wii U.
"Nintendo has to 'do what Sony and Microsoft' have been doing for us"
So.....$$$$$$ I take it?
I mean...they COULD make the most powerful system ever....2 i7-3930k's and the equivalent of 3 7990's....but it would never sell for a profit.
They can do it, but they are smart enough not to.
Star Fox by Kamiya would be the single best thing ever. It'd be like a bullet hell shmup....but with Star Fox...and with all of Platinum's wacky charm that fits in perfectly.
Even though W101 isn't doing so hot at retail in Japan (possible good digital sales as Nintendo likes to push that), Kamiya has been super positive about working with Nintendo. I would absolutely love it if they became a regularly contracted 2nd party developer, like Level 5 for instance. Kam...
Even with the high demand, I just don't see the PS4 catching up to the Wii U this year....maybe not even until after March.
If you meant this holiday season...then yeah I can see that, but there's no way they are getting almost 4m consoles out and sold before the holidays are done. The Wii was stupid cheap to produce, was sold out from Day 1 and it only managed like....3m something by the end of December.
And really.....it doesn't really matter wh...
Because it's not so much about the price drop as it is about the games. A price drop does nothing without big titles releasing, which is why you see it coming with WWHD, right after W101, and before the Fall onslaught.
Yeah....I'm not upset about the price drop at all. I have thoroughly enjoyed my Wii U, especially since MH3U was released. My PS3 and 360 have actually been collecting dust.
Not only is the price cut big, but those release date announcements....whew.
A price drop coupled with major games is almost certain to move units. I mean...not only was a price drop announced, but release dates for a lot of stuff too.
That's the Vita's main problem (outside of those memory card prices)....it got a price drop, but KZ Mercs is pretty much the only thing new for the system. Outside of games that can be played elsewhere (indies, cross-play things, other ports) of course.
Also, Nintendo was pushing digital sales pretty hard....I think Japan might have gotten that deal where if you buy Pikmin 3 on the eShop you get 30% off W101
We really won't have solid numbers until Nintendo releases them. Not entirely surprised it sold low though....it only shipped 30k to begin with.
I mean....aside from the 50+ that there already are.
I know what you meant though....but that issue is going to be resolved. October in particular is packed with content.
She as tried a handheld before but she gets frustrated with the controls and she wants to play along with her dad, just her brothers.
Someone asked him the same question at the bottom of the article, haha.
It's crazy that with all we know about what Nintendo is bringing....we still know next to nothing.
We've got a few new character in Smash Bros (and not much else), the 7+ games from SEGA, the third Sonic exclusive, what SMT x FE will be/look like, Zelda, other collaborations (that Iwata talked about in the January Direct), Miyamoto's new IP, Nintendo's "new types of games" they are working on, Shin'en's titles, whatever that Pokemon teaser w...
Yeah...I haven't turned on my 360 since early May....and before that it was mid February. I don't even have an HDMI cable hooked up to it anymore, not exactly sure why I still have it honestly.
After I finished The Last of Us and a new playthrough of Far Cry 3 on my PS3, I have been back on Monster Hunter.
Now that more games are coming out, very little interests me on my other systems. I might get Beyond: Two Souls, but I might wait until it's ch...
It's incredible how wrong you are.
Sega didn't greenlight Bayonetta 2 because the first one sold like shit. P* pitched it to them after starting development (you know...proof of concept type stuff)and Sega said no.
Then, after Nintendo approached Platinum about making an exclusive game (W101), and Sega about the exclusive Sonic games, Bayonetta 2 got brought up again and Nintendo decided to fund it.
It had nothing to do with Anarchy R...
