This is.. in my eyes, one of the best action games ever created. The ONLY thing this game could be better on is graphics. Other than that, it's a true work of art. Never in my life have I seen combos of this sort. Never have I seen fluidity performed being nigh-perfect. It really is an underrated gem.

You forget that Microsoft is one of the best marketing companies in the world. They could easily make a much more powerful system than the PS3 and have it cost $100 less. They know their tech, quite well.
That's really ironic, because my PS2 and Xbox have crapped out on me. The disc drives do not work anymore, which is why they are replaced with the 2 beautiful younger brothers(360/PS3). Your comparison fails due to one thing. You can gripe all you want that they are only talking about the US, but the US equals about 45% of all consumer sales in the world, and Japan is a speck compared to that. Not to mention how right now the 360 is dominating Europe(or is it UK) sales as well.
Yeah.. the PS3 def. does not have the best software. Software wise.. I think it goes:
1) Xbox 360
2) Playstation 3
3) Nintendo Wii
It's just a proven fact that MS has the highest rated games and the console itself is used for gaming more than the other 2 combined.
Lets look back at last gen.
Xbox - Best hardware, amazing software but not enough of it.
Gamecube - Good hardware, good games
Playstation 2 - decent hardware...
Half of that was subjective and the other half is just plain not true. If Sony were to drop the price to $300 (which I only see about a $50 price cut instead of $100 due to the cost of manufacturing) and MS feels threatened by it, then MS can drop the price as well. And yes, a price drop for the 360 would do even better. Same with the PS3 and Wii.
