Do you even know why games are stated as Halo Killers? I mean if you did, then you would realize your entire comment is irrelevant. Games are classified as Halo Killers because Halo set the standard and is one, if not the fastest selling franchises of all time. Also, Halo is one of the most mainstream games of all time and is revered as one of the most important games in gaming history, AS STATED by the reviewers. When a game is a Halo Killer, it means it will destroy it in:
Sale...
Since everyone thinks that the console will only survive if the exclusives on the console are in development forever and then are finally released and they don't bring in the profits that the companies used to make the game and then the companies go out of business, then yes, the console would be dead.. BUT..
-Multi-platform games sell better on the 360.
-Exclusive games on the 360 sell better compared to the PS3.
-XBLA games have been selling like hotcakes says sites...
Uhhh... That doesn't even make sense BeastMaster.. So you're saying that a franchise that sold 8.1 million according to Jan. '08 stats only sold well because it was on the 360?
Bullsh*t.. maybe a gaming PC costs around $300-$400. But if you wanted a gaming PC that could say, run Fable 2 on max settings (and yes, this game will be a powerhouse), it can cost around a grand.
In terms of sales I see it like this:
1. Killzone 2 (can change depending on advertising) (PS3)
2. Halo Wars (can change depending on advertising) (360)
3. Street Fighter IV (can change depending on advertising) (360)
4. Resident Evil 5 (360)
6. Street Fighter IV (can change depending on advertising) (PS3)
7. Resident Evil 5 (PS3)
8. Star Ocean: The Last Hope (360)
How on Earth do you have so many bubbles? Every comment you post is just horribly fanboyish towards the 360.
Vice City? Nuuu..
San Andreas? Yus. Plus it had a lot more content.
BUT. This doesn't mean that GTA IV is a bad game.. in fact, it's amazing. And yes, I expect this expansion/full game(since it has a completely different 10 hour story) to sell a lot.
I would be devastated if my PS3 broke down on me.. thing is a beauty.
Now get rid of:
-blu ray (Not exactly a game)
-L.A. Noire (Not exclusive)
-Resistance 3 (I don't want to give away spoilers)
-The PSN thingy (Not a game)
-David Jaffe Game (Never heard any announcements about that)
The 360 has just as good of a Line-up as ever..
-Star Ocean 4
-Mass Effect 2
-Alan Wake
-Halo Wars
-Halo 3: ODST (Yes, it is a full game)
-GTA IV: The Lost & Damned (Yes, it is pretty m...
HELL NO. Not in the least bit. I can easily spot out things just from the first image you gave out. Hell, it was clear the moment my eyes saw the wheels. Compare those wheels to the wheels in the CCX rendering and the GT5P cars look like hot wheels toys.
It is crystal clear that the CCX rendering is just that.. a render. It blows GT5P away. But I can see the GT series coming to this mark. Which will make me explode.
Oblivion shined on the PC... 360? Not so much. It did average in average 360 software sales lol.
@njr
GTA IV: The Lost & Damned is twice as long as Killzone 2's story and comes with a LOT of add-ons.
@pwnsauce
MS hired about 70% of Ensemble Studios into their own in-house dev teams. They also created about 3 other Halo dev teams from members of Bungie.
@everyone
They didn't pay $50 million for 1 DLC, they paid for 2. Which equates to 20-40 hours of extra story, a LOT of content, and possibly an entire new area to explor...
Why did tato get so many disagrees? No one responded to him or even told him why. Are people seriously that biased? This is more than just DLC. In fact, this is what DLC should be. This adds 10-20 hours of a new story, new weapons, vehicles, etc. for $19.99. That's more than what you get from a retail game. In every category.
Also, there's still another DLC in the works for the Xbox 360.
Those 2 games were never exclusive in the first place. They were reported multi-platform from the get-go. Also, the 2 games mentioned do not even come close to not knowing the first 60 hours of a trilogy.
What's you're point? It's nothing compared to what money Sony has lost for the PS3.
-Sony reported that they have lost more money on the PS3 than they gained in the first 5 years of the PS2's surge. That equates to what?.. like $3.5 billion - $4 billion?
-Sony also reported that they have lost $1.1billion in 2008.
You do the math
"Says you. Sony says this takes into account sub accounts and only deals with active accounts."
Yes, says me rofl. And that is what I mean. The average person has about 2 active accounts, due to the fact that they want to access different regional opportunities.
"EA reported their revenue quarterly revenue and it looked like this. PS3 139 million, PC $86 million, 360 $81 million. If it's not "physically possible" for this to be correct you'd...
Sorry buddy.. but there is no word of any timed exclusivity or any form of development for the PS3 version. The only way you would be able to know this is if you worked with Ubisoft.
"Speaking during a conference call following the company's third-quarter financial report, Ubisoft has re-confirmed that Splinter Cell Conviction will be an Xbox 360 exclusive."
-straight from their mouth.
"300000 is good for a port and most likely means a dev made a profit."
300,000 is absolutely horrible. What in the world are you talking about?
Lol then expect the sales to be absolutely horrible for PS3. If 1 isn't going to be on there, then you will have no idea what the story will be about, and well would have missed 60 hours of it.
Nope. Guerrilla Games stated that that rumor was false, and that they have no intentions to make a co-op patch later on =(.
