I can see the author's point but it isn't like that for me. Trophies gave me hours more to do. I'm not addicted or anything but if it's a challenging but reachable goal, then I'll try to get it and build up the replay factor of the game.

I always trust IGN AU. They're always the most fair of all IGN's branches. This looks really really good.
I saw the long trailer on the Vikings vs. Saints game (Favre messed up bad) and it looks really good. I've done my best to avoid seeing anything of it and that's the longest I've seen of ME2.
If I hadn't made a promise to myself to stop buying games for the next few months, I would buy this day one. God it's gonna be torture.

Not exactly true. When the entire enemy team camps, it turns impossible and a lot of the time you run into a camping clan. Ruin everything.
edit: Also it's camp or die in hardcore tdm. It's a slight change of pace but it's almost laughable how everyone camps in hc tdm. In CoD4, hc meant a little more tactical than regular tdm. In mw2, it's camp or die. And you best believe I'd rather die than camp.
I wasn't the only one who liked Lord of the Rings the Two Towers on the PS2 was I?
I did love Spiderman 2 almost wholeheartedly. It was my second favorite movie-to-game-game. Nothing could top the way Lord of the Rings the Two Towers felt like I was actually playing the movie. I played that game so many times it's sad.
But I just loved swinging around in Spiderman 2. Nearly everything in that game just clicked with me.

Same thing kinda happened to me with the "wand." I initially didn't like it much (I'm still sceptical about it) but when I saw it used in LittleBigPlanet, I had to say that it looked really cool. Maybe I just have a softspot for LittleBigPlanet...
I just don't like the feel of battlefield games. Just doesn't work for me so I know I won't buy this. CoD's fun but I'm just not that crazy about FPS games.
Especially when they're so heavily focused on multiplayer. Love HL, CoD4's singleplayer and kz2 but that's mostly it on my FPS favorites.
CoD (especially since mw2 tried dropping the name CoD) is far from a household name. It sold a lot but Halo is way closer to being a household name.
Mario is. Maybe GTA. But CoD isn't.
How sad it must be to only play games based on resolution and graphics. If you only did that, you'd miss out on most of the best games ever released.
Like Ico, GTA SA, Jak and Daxter, MGS, Legend of Zelda OoT...
The list goes on and on. If a game's good, a game's good. And we all know this game's gonna be great (even though I suck at hack and slash games, it's obvious this is just gonna be ridiculously good).
Or both games will be good.
Extremely long shot, I know. Only one can be good 99.99997% of the time. Especially since they're the same genre huh?
Yeah, everyone knows they back their stuff up. And to finish off HL 2, one of the best games ever released, it's gotta be good and they know it.
What's worse? Waiting years and it turns out really good or rushing it and it feels, well, rushed?

I was actually hoping they would say something this E3. But Valves known for this. You gotta hate them for it but it all washes away when you actually get it.
Oh well. I'll just replay the series again. Can't complain.
I'd rather not, no. I feel it would kill the immersion. Things jumping out at you that as soon as it doesn't really hit you, it kills the immersion.
Just work on good writing like my top 5 games (see bio). Those are all immersive because of the writing. 3D is just annoyingly gimmicky.

I've always said this. Nearly every person on n4g (and everyone who plays games in general) must walk around with a sword and shield at all times.
Of course, most people in the world are naturally emotional, therefore defensive. So there's a deeper cause for it.
But as it stands, everyone here just whines a lot.
But I must enjoy it cause I come back each and every day. Haha, so who's crazier?
Hmm, good list. Replace mw2 for CoD4, put Valkyria Chronicles, Demon's Souls and Ratchet and Clank ACiT higher and it'd be nearly perfect.

Aww, I thought they were rereleasing Wind Waker for the Wii. I would've bought that in a second since I sold it with my Gamecube. Regretted it the second I did it.
Actually, I think I'm gonna rebuy it and a gamecube controller on ebay so I can play it again on the Wii. Shouldn't be too expensive...
