The only thing I was worried about was if the actual story wasn't good. It happens sometimes even if they got a bunch of writers to look over it. But it doesn't seem to be a problem based on the reviews.
I can't wait to play this, but I'm gonna have to. I put a freeze on all game buying for the next few months.
So yeah, pity me...
I don't understand how people say they lose interest in stuff if it takes too long.
Like remember Home? People were crying for who knows how long cause it took too long.
I mean, doesn't anyone have any patience nowadays?
edit: @below
Yeah I suppose but it's not like there's a lack of games or something. It gets announced, we wait. God knows I'm dying for information on this since it's basically gonna be a dark version of kingdom hearts ...
Yeah, I'm gonna just forget I ever heard about this. Probably the worst idea ever.
Gonna have to slightly disagree there. Tools of Destruction is still great nowadays. Quest for Booty was soooo fun. It reminded me of Jak and Daxter with its heavy emphasis on platforming and doing jobs for people around a town. And ACiT is so far one of the best, if not the best R&C game yet.
Resistance 1 I liked. The singleplayer was really good (basically a 1st person R&C with a sci-fi WW2 setting) and I liked the multiplayer enough. Resistance 2, though not b...
Gotta love Insomniac. Halfway through ACiT. Enjoying every second of it.
I just don't like how natal might win over the casuals. And it'll be kinda the Wii HD. And if that's the case, then the 360 will hit Wii-like numbers. So what would stop them from becoming like Nintendo and leaving their hardcore gamers with one or two games a year?
Same applies to sony and the wand/gem/arc/thing thing. Could be cool (maybe...) but the effects of it could really hurt a...
Well, as long as it comes out good. I don't mind waiting.
Only problem is if I die before it comes out. That would suck.
Yeah, this might sound stupid but where do you go if you have a suggestion for sony on the PS3? The forums?
I ask cause I have a small suggestion for the PS3. Probably easy for them to do too.
Well, I listen to really long songs. My favorite song Echoes by my favorite band Pink Floyd (no, I'm not a druggy) is 23 minutes long. Sometimes I'm about 15 minutes into it and I accidentally go to the PS Store without thinking. It stops the song. And the rewind/forw...
I originally bought GTA IV on the PS3. Loved it. Wanted to finish the story so I bought the episodes on the 360 (or more accurately, got it for christmas).
It's really good and I really like them. I just wish I could've got it for the PS3. I miss the option to flick the controller up to reload. That was one of my favorite things about it and one thing that's never (I don't think anyways) used in other games on the PS3. It took me forever to stop flicking the controller up ...
As much as I hate myself for not getting it, I doubt my pc could handle it.
Yup, my pc sucks that much.
Does anyone know if the old XBOX version is backwards compatible with the 360?
I don't know if these are real or not but it's sad that people don't buy ratchet and clank much. Platformers are one of my favorite genres. But people just don't buy them much. And so far (about halfway in), this is arguably the best R&C. If anyone's on the fence on it while reading this, just buy it. Insomniac is one of the best developers around.
They say this might be the last R&C, which if you listen hard enough, you can probably hear my heart break as I write ...
I wouldn't say it's the most solid evidence ever but that would suck. After I buy the PS3 version of GTA IV then buy the episodes on a disk for the 360, it's coming to the PS3.
You know what, oh well.
And to the guys above fighting over inFamous: Yeah, inFamous was good, really really good. But even though they're both sandbox games, I think it's still apples and oranges.
One's a gritty crime drama with a huge emphasis on story and characters. The ot...
You know, if I were reviewing GTA IV when it first came out, I would've easily gave it a 10. That isn't hype or being paid off. I'm the type of guy who likes a good story and good dialogue and GTA IV delivers on both, especially the dialogue. Easily the best dialogue in any game ever made.
But we always say reviews are subjective and based on all the reviews and me, it deserves the high scores it got. I mean, I still play it and I'm playing the episodes on the disk for the 36...
Yeah, like PirateThom said. He said it the last time someone asked.
TGSI = The genius said it
The 360 has a lot of games. A lot. But you have to understand (I was one of the people saying 2009 sucked for the 360), 2009 sucked for the 360. More games came out for the Wii in 2009 than the 360.
I personally only bought one game for my 360 all year: GTA IV episodes on the disk. Incredibly worth it (loved TL&D and halfway through TBoGT) but that was it. This year looks incredible (I can't wait for SC C). But last year people could justifiably say there weren't man...
Good intentions doesn't mean the damage isn't done.
Cool but it's gonna cost Sony a lot in video game sales eventually.
Whether it's a good attempt or a bad attempt at this point, you just have to give it to the developers for trying. If someone tries, albeit not too great an attempt like many games, they tried when no one else has tried.
They set the foundation for further attempt. Like Kojima overdoing it on story in the MGS series or David Cage attempting a story game like Indigo Prophecy. To a certain degree, it might be a failed attempt (though both great games, it's just an example), with...
I hope. That was my one big gripe with 1. Dialogue was sometimes annoying and the acting was frequently terrible. Remember after the sex scene that scene (which the part where she wakes up was so corny that any point they were trying to make was lost) where they need to land right in front of Saren? Bleh, that was so horrible it was embarrassing to watch. Among many others.
Not to mention the male and female Shepards were both really unconvincing a lot of the time (and we ...
Yeah it's not illegal but it is questionable. I have a hacked PSP but I don't download any games. I just got LittleBigPlanet on the PSP. Worth every penny. And in all honesty, people probably will be able to squeeze more out of the PS3 if he did hack it cause a hacked PSP is waaay more useful than an unhacked one.
But what he's doing is basically allowing people to play pirated games. There are a few people like me that just likes homebrew but 99% of people just want free ...
Bleh, they ruined Cpt. Price in mw2. They just tried too hard. Especially his little speech before the last level.
Cpt. Price was one of the coolest characters in video game history, in CoD4. It just wasn't the same in mw2. Especially since one of the coolest things he did in CoD4 was slide you the gun then die at the end of CoD4.
Then they bring him back to life. So stupid...
edit: That goes for Soap too. He should've died too.
Yeah but it's the principle of it all!
They took something good and pure and ruined it!
Who thought of this!?
