Since 2005:
Million Dollar Baby, The Departed, Letters from Iwo Jima, No Country for Old Men, Children of Men, Pan's Labyrinth, Up, Into the Wild (haven't seen it), Changeling.
You should see those.
Watch Schindler's List.

That's the point. It's a holocaust movie. Far more emotionally affecting than MGS4 no matter how much I love MGS4.

Haha, you must be made of stone then man.
Oh, and Indigo Prophecy had good storytelling techniques but a bad story. Let's hope he does good in his second try, Heavy Rain.
The problem is you can name all the games that provide a truly great storytelling on one hand.
Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, GTA IV, Half-Life 2 and MGS and that last one might be a stretch (it's a little corny in some parts throughout the series but you can't deny the microwave scene).
I'm not saying that's all but there aren't many. But try naming all the movies that have truly great storytelling. There's too many to even try.
Games have to mature in ...
Actually shouldn't it be The Awakening of the Light & Darkness? Or is it a bad translation?
Haha, I'm so glad I'm not a fan of God of War cause I'll always think of that whenever I hear it. That's one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
One game that should always be mentioned but never is is the Max Payne 2 theme song. Fits perfectly with the game and sets the mood.

Jesus, that's a long list. Will only be getting a few of those though, cause well, that's a lot of money.
That sucks but whether GGG knew about the embargo or not, the damage is done.
Yeah, probably fake but I'm sure it's coming out around that time.
Yeah, same. Games then movies but it's a close second.
And yeah, like I said earlier, it was a lack of things to do, not a lack of a life. Though I'm sure he could've done something more productive with his time but who cares in the end?
Yeah I just saw Burn After Reading a couple of weeks ago. It was good but obviously not as good as No Country for Old Men. Best part was the surprising piece with Brad Pitt and George Clooney. Didn't see that coming.
Nice to see other people who enjoy good movies.
He said it took about 3 days I think, which isn't a lot of time I suppose. And I think he was hurt so he had a lot of time on his hands. So it wasn't really lack of life but lack of things to do.
Also, love No Country for Old Men. Looking out for the Coen brother's next movie A Serious Man. Early reviews say it's really great.
edit @ butterfinger: haha
Haha, this guy has a lot of time on his hands. If only that time and energy had been put towards something beneficial to himself or mankind...
Still, shows this guy's dedicated to do something like this.
haha,
Also, I don't know where you guys live but in LA, Fox isn't so bad. If anything NBC and such show extreme unprofessionalism with they're blatant liberal bias. Fox seems to give both sides in most cases which is good right?
One quick thing. Adam Sessler isn't a fanboy. Now I don't know about those around him but he surely isn't. He's the reason G4 has any integrity at all. Just cause he says something like "the PS3 is (was) too expensive" doesn't make him a fanboy. He's just stating a fact proven by the boatloads of people who bought it since the price drop. So he's not a fanboy.
The second he leaves G4 is the second I lose interest in G4.
edit: Yeah, she might be and ...
Yeah it's not just simple bias that's the problem. I'm not biased to any console (I'm not) but I spend most of my time on my PS3 at the moment. And that's just cause I have good friends online that I wouldn't have on the 360 or Wii. But I'm not biased. I realize Sony's downsides. Same with MS and Nintendo.
But there is hatred towards these companies from certain people. And the inability for people to accept the sentence "I like Killzone 2 more than Halo" or vice...
Reminds me of this for some reason.

God I miss the old simpsons...
Take bubbles, report and never think about it again. That's what everyone should do.
That's why I agree with guys like Adam Sessler and yahtzee about the ratings system. It shouldn't have numbers or stars or anything like that. People see 3/5 and assume it isn't good. But if you read the review, they say that the game isn't for everyone so they had to give it a 3/5 (this is an example).
But people need a number so they have to give it. Except yahtzee but he'd give everything a 1 so that's moot.
Don't look to Pirates of the Caribbean for art. You'll obviously be disappointed.
