Yeah, I get your point but Halo still hasn't made it to the milking point. It might get there and I'll be the first to call foul, but not yet.

GTA IV was very good. Just more serious than the previous ones. I always played the GTA games without killing anyone that wasn't necessary so GTA IV fit perfectly for me. It also had the best writing I've ever seen in a game.
FFvsXIII looks to be very good. GOW 2 was apparently very good too.
Halo Reach looks like it just might be the best in the series which is saying a lot cause Halo 1 is known as a masterpiece.

I didn't know that! I did know that you can sometimes see that thing in a coat looking at you while you sneak throughout the level though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Mass Effect very linear too? Minus the uncharted planets sections, which were really just the same level over and over again with different skins.
It's a lot like MGS4 really. Go to the end of an area, load, go to the end of an area, load. Except the loading times were much shorter in MGS4.
But the PS3 has trouble running the unreal engine though. Course, even the 360 had problems running Mass Effect and the unreal engine works ...

Well, it wouldn't be too great for us if any company monopolized. If it were Nintendo for the casuals and Sony for the hardcore, well that wouldn't be good.
But as it stands, MS is giving Sony a fight for the top. Meaning both are pulling out their A game. Which is good for us.
