The directing (ie shakey cam) has nothing to do with the writing. The writing wasn't great in saving private ryan. Those things were all steven spielberg.
Actually, the best video game movie I've seen is Hitman. Not great but decent.
And think this through. It wasn't the writing that was good in SPR, it was the directing. So, don't hold much hope for this one.

No one, and I mean no one in their right minds will ever buy a 360 because it has twitter, facebook or anything else. It doesn't matter that they intended it to be uncomfortable. It's still uncomfortable and embarrassing. Does saying, "I wanted to do bad on a test" justify the fact that you did bad on a test? No, in the end, you still failed.

Well, it's like using the Godfather music in another movie. It wasn't made for the Godfather but it's forever linked to it. You just can do it. But it doesn't mean you should.

Games are art. Anyone that says otherwise hasn't looked hard enough. You can say that all games are are just action, shooting and explosions with bad stories about uninteresting characters. But you can say the same for most movies made today. But, just like movies, there are a few that push towards art. Flower, MGS, Half Life 2, GTA IV, Ico, SotC. Those are more artistic than most movies made today.

Well, I'm just saying. They got really annoying since E3. People respect developers. Insomniac, ND, Bioware, Kojima, Tim Schafer; those developers all have the respect of the gaming community.
Turn 10 were arrogant the whole way through. I'm sure their game is good. But the developers were just annoying. And if they had just kept their mouths shut, they would've had the respect of the community.
