Not to disagree with the author or anything but I'll always believe the scene after they get "sent" is the saddest.
When it shows Yuna alone whistling into the ocean. That is just so sad if you understand what Yuna whistling meant. That was 10x more sad then the piece that the author mentions.
I still didn't cry but it was easily one of the saddest things I've ever seen.

Though it is true the 360 has more rpgs, most of them suck. PS3 has fewer but those few are better than most that ever came out.

On topic, Uncharted 2's probably gonna win everything but I voted for InFamous. Sad how little praise Sucker Punch gets.
Yeah, that's basically the point I was trying to make. And SotC was a good example. Can it look better? Of course it can. But they managed to make an incredibly emotional and near perfect game that still looks pretty good till this day.
And of course, great graphics are nice. But I'd never play a game for its graphics.
Killzone 2 was really good. Graphics were nice but I liked it for its different controls.

Meh, graphics don't really matter if you really think about it. Since about the PS2, graphics got to a point where anything else is just for showing off.
It's really all about gameplay. And this game delivers that in spades. Too bad no online co op though.
Course, I think I'm in the minority when it comes to gameplay > graphics.

Really, best combination is to just have everything. PS3, 360, Wii and a good pc. You don't have one and you're gonna miss out on something. Period. Course, that obviously is pretty expensive.
I don't have a good pc (mine can barely play HL2) but no one can deny that having a good pc has its fair share of ups.
Yeah this guy's addicted to cigarettes first of all. Second, I don't think GTA will ever have product placement cause companies want to be family friendly and GTA is far from family friendly. But I'm taking it too literally with that one.
Product placement is cool if used right. As in the old Splinter Cell games. Had some product placement but it made it feel more real and wasn't very obtrusive.

I hate when people say all FF are the same. Nearly all of them are different in their own ways. And you can only really change an rpg's mechanics so much. So it's similar but very different.
These are the times I hate not having XBL.

And I don't know if I'm ready for it to be the last one in the series. I'm all for new ips but this is Ratchet and Clank. An action platformer doesn't get much better than that.

To begin with I was never one of those people who praised the cell and all that.
But I do agree with you to a certain point. You can just build a pc that's way stronger than a PS3 (and maybe someday as powerful as a Wii...) but I gotta say, no matter how powerful you make that pc, you won't be able to play Uncharted 2, MGS4, LittleBigPlanet and other exclusives.
I believe that is were my $600 investment reaped in spades.
Yeah, I agree 100% with you. Movies, books, games and music all have an effect on you. But the people who play Doom then decide to kill everyone and stuff like that, I believe they would've done it anyways. It just so happens that that certain thing was the catalyst. Plus, as you said, it was also a lifetime of buildup.

Yeah, no matter how weird it is that the voice behind Roxas in KH2 is, no one can deny that he does a pretty outstanding job in it.
I remember when I heard he was gonna be a main character in KH2, I thought it was a bad move. But I think he does an even better job than the voice of Sora.
