Personally i think this guy is a moron. While in this case it seems that some of his predictions are good it's stuff that's pretty much common sense and anyone could figure out. Don't need to be a analyst.
He has said so many things that we SO wrong that I don't really believe anything he says anymore. Unless it's something I already guessed before he ever even said it.
@Pizzagaki
While it hasn't been confirmed that the new content for ToV was removed from the 360 version due to space there is one aspect that was never added into the game in the first place due to space. That would be the full voice over.
It's said that there is more new VO added into the PS3 version then there is space on a 360 DVD which is quite substantial while the 360 version was indeed only on 1 disc that doesn't mean the devs would not have had to pay for a ...
This is highly unlikely if you ask me. Now most of us know about how SE has said it was MS themselves holding back a 360 version of XIV So if SE knew they were close to reaching a agreement they would not be saying all over the place that at launch it would be PS3 and PC only and they would also not have let Sony say it was exclusive to PS3 during their PS3 presser.
Chances are the game will eventually at some point come to 360 when MS can finally agree on a deal but I doubt it's...
I love the idiots in this case Jaffe who say because music went pretty much entirely download that everything else will.
ITS NOT THE CASE!!!! Songs are small tiny little files that you do nothing but listen too. Its a big difference from massive files for movies and games that you listen watch and play. It is this reason on top of the US's crap internet and many other reasons why I don't think games will or should go download only in the future.
Now I will agree tha...
Best soundtracks on PS3 are as follows. 1)Folklore 2) MGS4 3) Valkyria Chronicles.
Final Fantasy XIII was designed first and foremost on the PS3 if any version is gonna be better visually it will be the PS3 version as that was the original version and was latter ported to the 360
It interests me that he talks at length about the voice options and what not and I have to disagree with him on serveral factors.
First off from what we saw in the dub trailer they really dropped the ball. It sounds horrible when you compare it to the casts of FFX or FFXII most of these people just sounded like they could not act. Sure one or 2 characters sounded pretty good but when the vast marjority of the English VO sounds terrible then you have a problem on your hands.
MS lost something when Peter Moore left them.
Anyway I have to agree that I'm a bit surprised that this number wasn't reached alot sooner considering the popularity of the games. They are not my cup of tea at all but I know alot of people like em so it makes me wonder.
Alot of people are saying Twisted Metal which I really hope is wrong cause while it's a good series It's quite frankly one I don't really care much about and there are much better Sony IP's that could use expansion or revival.
As far as I know all Korea is doing is making Subpar MMO's the vast majority of which are free to play piles of crap that no one would be caught dead playing and the other set is stuff like Aion which while nice isn't really anything mind blowing.
Personally I'm looking forward to Halo ODST. It looks different enough from the other Halo games to make it look fun and the Firefight mode looks great. It's also a great deal for me as I have never bought any of the Halo 3 map packs so this is a nice bonus when buying it.
I'm reasonably sure that 99% of the footage released for the game was in engine demos which is quite impressive considering how good it looked and the game was not even close to complete.
They did have their reasons to cancel however it was not because the game was not shaping up well it was because they needed those resources elsewhere at the time to finish other games that they must have deemed more important.
It's such a shame that they canceled this game. It was so incredibly promising. Some of the test footage had some of the most amazing animation I have ever seen in a game and it was not even finished yet. The trailer after the link is also very impressive. The physics during the crash looked alot better then most games with elements like that.
Sony really should think about putting this game back into development because there is nothing but promise here.
Hurray for them? Hmm I wonder if this will increase the amount of games they ban or decrease it. Or just have no effect at all.
This isn't really news as Final Fantasy XI did this long ago.
However recent infomation seems to indicate that MS is holding SE back from doing this with the 360 which is why the 360 version was not announced when the game itself was. It seems MS wants more control or perhaps even a slice of the monthly fees.
One thing I can tell you is that 360 version of FFXI was by far the worst and thanks in no small part to the way MS forced SE to set the game up on the Platfor...
The question would be are they giving that number while taking into account all the side quests and whatnot? If not then perhaps it could be something on the level of 20hours per character which would massively bump up the play time.
WHY!!!! WHY!! WHY USE THE UNREAL ENGINE!!!!
It does not matter that Batman looks great the vast majority of games that use Unreal engine 3 are ugly buggy glitch fests and on top of that art assets don't mesh well with it hence why all the RPG's run on the thing look like crap.
I have yet to play any of the Layton games however I have always been interested. It's more or less been a issue of bad timing. Perhaps I will pick this up at some point.
Personally I don't really care much about this. Pandemic seems a bit over rated to me. The first Mercs game was pretty decent but the 2nd was a bland game that was pretty forgettable.
Anyone who didn't already know this is a moron. Look at the money going into the game it was obvious they were not gonna make it a free to play MMO or one of those Item mall deals as those have less certainly in the profit area.
