I'm so sick and tired of the Unreal Engine. Sure it can look great but it seems the only people that get it to look that good are Epic themselves. It's honestly good they didn't show the game because not many would have been that shocked after the FFXIII bomb MS dropped. What annoys me is Bungie said the reason they left MS was because they didn't wanna be stuck making Halo forever yet the first game they are making after the separation is a Halo game.

Yeah you can use the Netflix media center plug in but that thing is buggy as hell. Almost every time I use it I get errors about unsupported format and crap like that. It will work after I restart over and over so while it does work its a pain and I'm sure MS's real thing will work far more smoothly and easy then the current plug in does. Not to mention You need a Vista PC to do the plug in which is far more expensive then pay for a Netflix and Xbox live subscription
This whole FFXIII thing is getting out of hand. I'm a MASSIVE SE fanboy always have been always will be. However I didn't get pissed when they announced this I think alot of the Sony fanboys are forgetting that FF VS XIII is STILL a PS3 exclusive and alot of the things Nomura-san have said about VS leads me to believe it will stay a PS3 exclusive. If you bought a PS3 for FFXIII only then that's to bad. But you can go and enjoy some of the other great PS3 exclusives coming soon.
If another Zelda is indeed coming to the Wii that's great news. Too bad they didn't have much mention about it in the press conference which seemed to be a big screw you to the hardcore crowd. It's sad that we still haven't seen or heard about alot of the good games. Star Fox could be interesting with Wii, Pikmin 3 is something that really needs to come out, Another F-Zero would be awesome as well yet we have heard nothing.
The game concept looked interesting however I didn't like the trailer the characters seemed oddly proportioned in the face like they all had some very odd bone structure.
There is no doubt the game will sell well on 360 but It's still gonna sell better on on PS3. The game is going to perform far better on the PS3 if not only for the fact that it will be on a single disc. In addition to that it will most likely have alot of technical issues due to the 360 not being even remotely as powerful as the PS3. I expect to see slightly dumbed down graphics, Slow down, Longer load times etc. If SE can port the game perfectly I will be very impressed.

Square does what is best for the company and to many an extent that is also what is best for their fans who love the quality games they make. The FF series would not be what it is today had they stayed with Nintendo that's a fact. Doing this is going to get FFXIII into the most hands and expand the brand in the process. Charging for this is retarded. It's basically a Mii ripoff that has cloths instead of just make a face and choose colors like the Wii. Sure real brands will probably cost money but the basic outfits that aren't related to a brand should be free. A very large portion of people are not going to pay for this in any way shape or form and having limited options from the get go would result in far to many look alike avatars.

I honestly think a sequel is far more likely then a remake. They set up the sequel in the hidden ending of Dirge. It doesn't make sense to set that up and then leave it for so long. However there isn't anything to say that they wont announce both as they could both be part of the compilation of Final Fantasy VII.
We have yet to see Sony's hand so I'm not to worried for Sony. However while FFXIII coming to 360 is great news I have to wonder how the quality will be comprimised to do it. The more I see of Red Faction the more I can't wait. 1 and 2 where some of my favorite PS2 games around and I was somewhat disappointed we never got a 3rd but what we are getting now makes me glad that they waited because it is definitely shaping up to be the best in the franchise.
It's a flash game on newgrounds? People are associating a flash game on new grounds with the industry? That's really sad. There are tons of messed up things on New grounds and none of them represent the gaming industry at all just the sick individual that made them. That kind of shocked me when he said that alot of the Versus team was going all out on Advent Children complete. I was thinking ACC was something they were doing on the side with only a few people on it but the way he says it it seems like it may be a very different movie then the original. Which is great I loved Advent Children and I cant wait to see what it looks like on Blu-ray.
A interview I read recently said that the recent announcement of FFXIII put the ball in MS's court and that the announcement in August will put the ball back in Sony's court. That is a very bold statement considering it would have to be one hell of a shocker to do that.
