I don't think downloads will ever overtake retail. First off I don't like downloads I like owning the disc and I know alot of people out there feel the same. 2nd the tech for this to work perfectly wont be in place for at least another 10-20 years and even then you will still have to worry about crashes losing all you Data and having to rebuy/redownload everything. When Nomura mentioned a surprise announcement he was talking about Advent Children Complete. By supporting the store by buying used games keeps them in business therefore allowing that clerk to keep his job which is therefore supporting the clerk. I don't know if they get a commission but clerks at gamestop HAVE to ask you if you want the used copy or if you want this game or if you wanna subscribe to some random magazine. That is the reason I stopped shopping at those stores.
This is a real problem in the industry and finding out a way for a developer to prevent used game sales would put alot less pressure on studio's as every copy being sold is going to them instead of the shop selling the game. This is one of the many reasons devs don't take chances on anything anymore if they can't guarantee a profit they may as well not try. Personally I don't buy used games I like to support the dev making the game and not the annoying clerk trying to get me to buy 20 things ...
This was a pretty bad list. There are plenty of other characters in plenty of other games that look way worse. How about the Mega Man 1 US box art. Not only did the character look retarded but it looked like he was wearing Hasbro plastic toy armor as well. All said the list wasn't very extensive it's as if they just choose the first 5 they saw instead of the 5 that really are the worst.
Pretty good list. Odd though how they don't mention the new Final Fantasy Tactics A2. Also even though it's not true turn based the Izuna games are great. They play more like a free roaming hack and slash however it's got a turn based engine under the hood. For each action you make be it taking a step, attack, using a item all the enemies in the field get a action. It's a great game and the 2nd one was just released and I'm having alot of fun with it.
Personally I don't care if a game has a Online mode. I honestly hate online since almost every game is nothing but people flaming and insulting each other with the most sexist, racial and homophobic names they can find. Back in the day when people played online to have fun it was great but no longer. I prefer offline games now and on the rare occasion that I do go online I either go into private chat or dont put on a headset.
I'm still most excited about Parasite Eve coming back. It's great that we will get to play it. I hope enough people buy it so square will perhaps make a full blown PS3 remake/sequel. With Agito and Parasite Eve this is certainly an awesome time to own a PSP.
Yeah I would love to see the real time and see if it lived up to all SE said it would be. Awhile go they said they were trying to achieve real time graphics close to that of Advent Children so they could recreate the battles and look of the movie inside of the game. Needless to say that is a very ambitious goal.
MS can't pay for a demo. SE already said they will not begin work on the 360 version until the PS3 version is finished. I doubt SE would slow down the release of the game by making a demo for the xbox.
This is actually a really cool idea. In alot of past FF games there have been tons of costumes that could function as everyday wear and if SE keeps the quality high this will be interesting. One thing they should do is not make the new outfits in like XXXXL or anything like that. They really should be that if you have similar proportions of the character then by all means buy the outfit. I would like to know if that FF7ACC release date of March 09 is worldwide or just Japan? I'm sure more news will come in the coming weeks. I would imagine that if any of the added footage in FF7ACC has new lines they would need to do some extra recording for a English release which would take longer.

Yeah I agree I would much rather have a new Parasite Eve on the next gen consoles however I think SE isn't sure about the selling power of the franchise if 3rd Birthday does well then maybe we can expect more which would be great. Personally I think the Parasite Eve series is one of the better series the PlayStation ever saw.

That was the one thing that pissed me off about the Parasite Eve 3 announcement was that it was on mobile and we wouldn't get it in the US but with this we will get to play it and Parasite Eve is one of my favorite series from back in the PS days.
It's really sad that we may never see the end of the Shenmue story. I loved the games and at the time they were revolutionary and to some degree they still are. Just the thought of a next gen Shenmue makes me giddy but at the same time sad because I know its very unlikely that it will ever happen.
These are more or less the only games worth playing on the Wii and half of them are debatable such as Mario cart and Mario strikers. However most of the rest are good games. It's sad though that 90% of the rest of the Wii library is shovelware.
Personally I'm not a big online person. While I did play the 360 version I never went online with it. I really only played it to try out Yoda and see how close the 2 versions were. The PS3 version is the version I picked up and I honestly don't mind that the online isn't perfect. There is always the chance they may be able to patch it in the future.
