Metacritic does not make a triple a game. Last time I checked fable 2 doesnt have a 90 on metacritic and people consider that a AAA game. Better yet CoD Black ops didnt score above a 90 on metacritic...... so is that not a AAA game. So please next time you make a point at least make it a valid one.
Is it me or is it everytime I hear more abt this game, the more I wanna purchase it. The atmosphere, the weapons, the story ( I really hope its a good one) is turning this game from a get it when I get it to a must have day one.This may be the resistance that insomniac finally gets everything right.
Im sorry but I disagree at the end of the day Halo is Halo. If it has the halo name attached they will come. (see halo wars)
I may be in the minority here but, I have nor will I ever be a big CoD fan. The game is just ok to me. I prefer halo, killzone or bioshock (for single player). As much as I love uncharted Im not sure it will sell boat loads. I def think batman AC will sell a ton.
Resistance definately has an uphill battle. I think that the overall ratings have to be good if not great and word of mouth will have to carry it. I have realized no matter how good or bad CoD is people will still purchase it in droves. Its not the overall quality of the game it really all abt the name. The truth is that resistance as a franchise has sold fairly well but, if it want to crack a dent into BF and CoD it has to be a considerably better product just to sell 1/4 to 1/2 as much.
Sigh........ I give it a few hrs b4 5 reasons to purchase uncharted 3 over gears 3 decides to grace our presence. When will the madness end.....

I may not like the online pass, but realisticly it takes money to run servers for online multiplayer games. With online passes, U as a gamer are paying for those servers to be run "if you purchase the game used". The best solution to this problem is to purchase the game when it goes on sale then everyone wins.
So let me get this straight, MS has better quality games than mario, zelda, metroid, donkey kong, uncharted, gran turismo, killzone, ratchet, infamous, lbp, Gow, and resistance...... Dont get me wrong gears, halo, forza, fable, and............ do very well in sales but as for quality they dont surpass the quality of most of the games mentioned. MS has no mario or lbp equivalent. I dont think anyone can honestly say that gears is better than zelda or uncharted ( although dif games close enough...
I understand what Sanchez is talking abt. My 360 RRoD on me and I refuse to buy another one. Not that I cant but its just the principle of the matter. Its a damn shame to cause gears was looking real sexy! Hey screw it I have uncharted, arkham city, and resistance to look fwd to.
I think this article is less abt jrpg vs wrpg and more so of how square enix is a shell of its former self. Square used to dominated the rpg market and now they cant make a descent title for the life of them ( the last 2 FF iterations were HORRIBLE). I dont think the jrpg is dead, level 5 makes great games, atlus makes great games, from software is on the rise...... so you can see their is still a pulse.
The only people who complain are the people who plan to buy the game used, so they wont affect game sales one bit. People complain just to complain, they make unwarranted threats and complain abt petty things. It baffles me that people actually get upset that a developer wants to recoup the money spent developing a product by having you purchase their product new.
Sorry to say but your comment is kinda silly. Insomniac's new IP will more than likely sell more on the PS3 due to a phrase termed "brand loyalty". People associate insomniac games with the playstation brand. Just like people associate epic with 360. If your arguement was correct FF13 would have sold equally if not better on teh 360 and everyone knows that didnt happen.
Its not that difficult, the real reason that MS sells more than PS3 is because of japan. MS has little to no install base in the japanese market were as the ps3 does very well there. Most of the huge exclusives that both systems have are not catered towards the niche japanese markets. MS huge install base in the USA helps them enourmously because nine times out of ten thats were the bulk of sales are derived from. It's called brand loyalty. Epic has made a name with 360 owners by creating gears. Im sure people who werent to sure what bulletstorm was abt saw epic games and figured " hey gears is good so I should give this game a try". This article is kinda silly. I sure epic as a company expected it to sell better on 360. Not to mention its a new IP and to be real its not like it sold halo numbers on 360 or even fable numbers for that matter

I dont agree with his heading but, he does make some valid points. I'm personally tired of halo and I really dont think that halo's story is very compelling, at least as compelling as people make it out to be. If youve played the resistance serious although part 2 was a step back you have to admit it was cool how things ended up. Insomniac games has never gotten credit for how well the story to resistance series has unraveled.
Wow Duke nukem gets a 3/5 and infamous 2 gets a 3.5/5. To each his own but, my friend bought this game because he loved duke nukem back in the day and even he thinks its horrible. I also played it and i would have to agree with his assessment.

I highly doubt that you even have a PS3 because that lame arguement abt not having any games is ridiculous. Last time I checked PS3 has the most exclusives you also have multiplatform games.
