Exactly. You know that picture that says "_____" will save the Wii U and all these games are crossed out? The fanboys love to use that after a game is released, and they act like Nintendo fans promised that sales would skyrocket. No... We WANT them to save the Wii U, but we understand they won't immediately turn the Wii U into a Wii.
I'm liking this game more and more!
It's crazy how much Mario Kart 8 has been in the news recently! And I thought the Boomerang (cool) and the Piranha Plant (cooler) were it!
My immediate first thought was "oh, that's a light box!" However, now that I compare them, I realize the author could be right. I wonder what a speaker power-up could do...
Maybe it would send out sound waves and destroy items/racers within a certain distance. Who knows...
Fanboys getting so defensive over statistics... I really dislike a lot of people on this website. Go ahead, bubble-down this comment as well. It won't change the fact that you're immature and need to learn that not everything is going to go your way.
The original comment is simply summarizing what the article says... And people "disagree" with it? You can't disagree with statistics. Goodness gracious.
I love how you get so many disagrees for briefly explaining the statistics.
That's N4G for ya.
Both are fantastic, unique, creative consoles. It's a shame they aren't selling too well, but I'm sure in the long run people will remember them for being what they SHOULD be remembered for: fun.
I said the architecture is different for the Wii U. It would not make since financially to put the game on the Wii U because it is completely different than the PS10,000,000 and the XboxNegativeOne.
Maybe PS360 aren't capable of running the game, but that in no way means the Wii U can't.
Go back to your cave and come out when you have something intelligent to say.
+1 trolling.
Reading these comments makes me very sad.
Nintendo does not need to turn into another PlayStation clone. I like Nintendo because it is unique.
Yes, I would like more third party games, but that is up to the developers. The Wii U is not underpowered, especially at this point in the generation. Saying it can't run a game that is barely 8th gen is ridiculous.
Its architecture is different, and it does not make sense financially to put the ga...
I'm surprised too. I have the game, and to be honest, it's a step down from Mario Party DS.
Agreed! Surprisingly, I've never played Metroid game. This will be my first!
Everyone, stop complaining.
"It's late. It should have been here already ugh"
Yes, but aren't you glad it's finally here? This is something to celebrate!
I love the customized item idea. It's like a final smash.
@Kingduqc
This is the beginning of the 8th generation. You're living in the dark. Of course the Wii U can handle it.
The Wii U is much better than the PS360. It's simply built differently than the PS4 and Xbox One, which is not a bad thing. However, this different architecture would mean that Ubisoft would have to spend more resources on a game version that most likely wouldn't sell very well.
That's understandable.
...
@Kingduqc
Nintendo has almost never been great with 3rd party.
And if you think the Wii U isn't capable of handling THIS... a beginning-of-8th-gen game... then you are sadly mistaken. The Wii U is not as underpowered as people make it out to be.
It would take more resources because the Wii U isn't built the same as the PS4 and Xbox One (cough), but that definitely doesn't mean it's not powerful enough.
Goodness gracious. If another company does well, you don't have to start making excuses or spinning it into bad news.
"B-b-but it's bad because Titanfall barely made a dent in the sales so Xbox is doomed!"
Shush. Just congratulate them on a good week. I
The Wii U is perfectly capable of handling this game. They probably didn't make it for Wii U because of finances. That's understandable, but it doesn't mean the Wii U can't run it.
That's disappointing... I was looking forward to playing in the French Revolution on the Wii U...
I bought it a long time ago. However, the game seems too exploratory for me. I love exploring, but it's not like you're walking in a constant direction like Mario. You're basically free to go anywhere in this 2D world, and everything looks almost identical, so if you come back and play after a few weeks or months, you have absolutely no idea what to do. It's a beautiful game, though.
We must kill this creature before it produces offspring!
Funny... I personally really enjoyed Mario Kart Wii. Driving like you were controlling a steering wheel (but MUCH more responsive, I must add...) was a blast.
PERSONALLY, I found Mario Kart 7 to be a bit dull. I never really got very far in it. However, I think that Mario Kart 8 looks amazing and will totally impress me.
