UNCHARTED has the whole world and all of history to expand itself and it's characters' back stories. Not quite the same thing as a "kill the enemy before he kills you" FPS is it?
Yes, because Master Chief's "character" has been so thoroughly enriched with each passing instalment of the game hasn't it? Plot a graph on how the HALO games have evolved (in all aspects) and it'll be a pretty flat line.

I don't think anyone assumes "10 out of 10" means "perfect", just exceptional. This phobia that some sites seem to have about giving games full marks because 'no game is perfect' always comes across as a little contrived to me.

Though seriously, isn't this true of anything, not just games? Movies, books, comics, toys: As long as there's demand (with the quality maintained, preferably!!), it makes sense to keep producing them.

I bought DRAKE'S FORTUNE day one, was immediately swept away by how amazing it was and then spent so much time afterwards trying to convince people to buy it (or get a PS3 to play it on). Soooo many of themk responded by saying they'd not read much about it or that it was to much of a "Tomb Raider clone"....
All I can say is "VINDICATED BIG TIME".
Hmmmm... I finished DRAKE'S FORTUNE on 'crushing' a while back, but hard drive problems meant I have to restart it. I have all the trophies as 'proof' obviously, but if this offer is based on game saves as opposed to trophies, I may miss out. I won't have time to finish on 'crushing' before I pick up AMONG THIEVES.

If I do a crap job of work, I get (at best) a figurative slap around the chops or (at worst) suspended.

Both INFAMOUS and UNCHARTED have brilliant plots built into them (they are, after all, 'interactive stories') to begin with.
I mean, the final cut scene in DRAKE'S FORTUNE, where Nathan dives onto the statue dangling beneath the helicopter, could be filmed shot for shot and look AMAZING in the movie, but you just KNOW they're going to throw out all that stuff and impose their own crapness.
You'd have thought they would have learned their lesson by now.
Well, movie games are never as good as the film, and as the SAW films are bleedin' awful (in my opinion), I know where I stand on this title!
Some fecking gobsh1t€ stole my debit card details so I had to cancel my card and my online pre-order. I'll have to buy it the old fashioned way, so hope the local store doesn't sell out.
Are people ready to 'pre-order' already? I think I'd actually rather find out a bit more about the game first.
Once again, the "we want it NOW" whingers get their game in first and mistakenly think this means "best" (as they did with their hardware), while we PS3 owners await quality that'll last.
