I'm not just "lazy", I'm "exceptionally lazy"... ;)
"But it is, at its frequent best, a game about emotion and subtlety, a game that doesn't condemn choices as bad but instead allows them to be different, allows them to be meaningful and allows the player to feel."
That's a beautiful passage, perfectly summing up want Quantum Dreams aimed for, and a sad indictment of the people who 'hate' on HEAVY RAIN for the sake of it.
Not me. I didn't bother with the 'Four Day Challenge' so look forward to the 'free' (in the sense you don't have to earn it) version.
Indeed. No wonder so many bleating 360 zombies are spitting vitriol at HEAVY RAIN: "Where are the power-ups? How do I get XP? No exploding barrels? Who do I shoot again? I'm scarrreeeddd!"
You attack what you fear...
First off, UNCHARTED 2 is primarily a single player game (thank god - Such things seem a rarity these days).
Secondly, ND said the onscreen number was NOT accurate.
Er, as a rule 'pre-order' means people haven't played the game they're buying yet.
I think, as far as the gaming public are concerned, great 'word of mouth' AFTER release is way better than 'blind faith' before.
Oh please don't quote him - He's on my 'ignore' list for a reason you know!! ;)
Oh, so they liked it then?
Seems the 360 zombies have yet another one to try and forget ever happened in order to keep their house of cards from collapsing.
WTF again!!!
It's like the opposite of that GeOW 2 review which highlighted all the flaws yet gave it a great score. Here we have a 'good' right up, yet a crappy score.
May get it when it's (really) cheap.
I'll take Naughty Dog's word regarding what constitutes success for Uncharted 2 over the braindead ramblings of the bleating 360 zombie masses.
They bandy the word 'flop' around these days as if they invented it.
Got the demo off the free PS3 magazine Blu-Ray. Really glad I didn't waste time downloading it from the store...
Well, can't say I'm falling over myself for either, but I'd sooner have a 3D patch than one for the motion controller.
Not interesting in WKC, never have been and have never mentioned it. Feel free to trawl through my history and find that out for yourself
(preferably BEFORE the glib putdown next time).
Tell "TehCell" @3, although he's "lolololololol-ing" to himself so hard he probably wouldn't notice.
I'm so happy that the demo of a 5 out of 10 game excites you so much.
If people had balked at 'something different' back in ye oldé days the same way many people are whinging about HEAVY RAIN now, we'd all be still be playing Pong (in 1080p of course).
Thank god for developers that take chances.
Well, I was going by the comments here more, to be honest - A lot of people seemed to be dismissing the game based on the MP element of the demo.
Droning 360 zombies want to keep playing the 'QTE card' as every other one has failed. Well, for a start it's been proven to be a lie, and secondly: can't you boil any game down to "you just press buttons to do stuff" idiocy if you want to prove a braindead point? Even your precious god-game HALO: "move stick - walk forward, press button - shoot ray, press button - jump, press button - open door". See, EVERY game sounds crap presented like that.
Grow up,...
