I'll keep my platinum yes, but that '100%' in my trophy list does look rather sweet. Shame to lose it, if only for a short time (I hope!)
The demo was brilliant, and you had FULL control over your character during the CSI sequence. The mood created was actually very chilling - Everything seemed so (intentionally) grim and barren. Even the motorway that Jayden climbed up to; It looked amazing, yet utterly depressing at the same time.
As for the QTE complaints: I found these moments rather challenging, but in a good way - Getting the agent to climb the slippery slope required work and was a suprisingly refreshin...
"it's time for Sony to revitalize the project"
But HALO can just keep on chugging along unchanged as it always has?
LBP always struck me as an 'open ended' game that never needed a sequel, just updates - I build levels all the time and still don't feel restricted by the content.
But, I'm sure that if there IS a second game, Media Molecule won't let us down. One thing I do hope they include is a 'paint' tool, as colouring objects with just stickers is fiddly sometimes.
Cosidering that it's just been reported that stocks are a little short of Sony's console in the US, perspectives change slightly don't they?
And once again, you consider "third place" as being an absolute negative... I say again (hypothetically): If Sony sold 10,000,000 consoles in a month but the 360 sold 11,000,000, that would mean Sony came "last", but do you think they'd be bothered?
Find me the post where I say "Yay, go Sony" after such reports you mention before throwing out the insults, chum. I don't bother commenting, but plenty of 360 'fans' do.
Well, that's popped fatty Greenburg's bubble a little!
Why does Greenburg always look like he's about to explode?
Although in that photo he looks like he's passing a stone, too.
It's all a race to fatty isn't it? Why can't he just say "360 sold blah-amount"?
If the PS3 sold just 5 units in a whole month, and the 360 sold just 10 that would be a disaster (albeit an unlikely one I admit, but I'm making a point) - would he still go "yay, we won this month" and be happy? Does he think Sony are moping in their offices, grumbling at how they 'only' sold 277,000?
If so then he's a bigger tit than he looks.
Little Big Planet is the one exising PS3 game where I can see the addition of a motion control option being interesting and useful.
Selma Blair... Giggity...
And UK seller Play.com has an exclusive APOLLO skin.
Although I expect all of them to be freely available on the store eventually (like the INFAMOUS Gigawatt blades)
But to read between the lines, it seems to have lost that (fraction of) one point because, basically, it's as good as the first two games. That's a bit... odd.
Oh god, EDGE will murder it then.
So what's a 'mature' game then?
Guiding Ethan Mars through the trauma of losing his son, or raking a group of civillians with automatic rifle fire in a Russian airport lounge?
I'll take the former over the latter any day, and maybe HEAVY RAIN is a wake up call for many of us.
David Cage is going to feel justifiably very proud of these reviews. He's often said that he wanted to prove once and for all that games can be 'mature' (in the proper sense of the word) and many reviewers are acknowledging that, by engaging the player's emotions rather than pandering to them, this is exactly what HEAVY RAIN has achieved.
They're waiting for the big one that gives HEAVY RAIN 4 or 5 out of 10 (C'mon, we all know it's coming), will pounch on it and declare it the one "honest", "unbiased" or "proper" review.
Wow, strong praise indeed. I look forward to reading their full write-up.
And 'day 1' definately - Had mine set aside for months now!
I know narrow minded zombies such as yourself have difficulty handling two concepts at once, but try this one out.

I found this line especially telling:
"This is a game for grown-ups or anyone who wants to feel like one"
Still, as it's a positive, glowing review for HEAVY RAIN (like virtually all the others) I guess it will slip ...
The U-Boat pen looks amazing! Wonder if we'll get a 'cursed Spaniard' skin to go with it? Those guys freaked me out - I rate "slippery naked guy" way above Big Foot on the monster scale!
