No, it probably won't get close to those games you mention, but as the reason for that is an amazing selection of truly excellent software for the PS3 within the space of a few months forcing people on a budget to CHOOSE, that's understandable.
Besides, the quality of the game that's burned onto the disc doesn't fluctuate in proportion to those sales, sunshine - HALO doesn't get 'better' when it sells bucketloads.
" It's not a sequel that will convert those that hated the first game"..?
There were people who hated the first LBP? I can understand it not being some people's 'thing', but to actively hate it?
People who use this must be so proud.
Cacodemon death gurgle in the original DOOM. It's just so weird!
Vega,
You had plenty of chance to do your whinging in the many GT5 hate stories that arose when it was initially released. Continuing to bang on about it months after the fact makes you look rather obsessed and desperate.
"Yay: I cheat at games, ergo I'm sooooo cool"
Seriously, I boggle at their sad lives and am at a loss to comprehend their motivations.
I'll disagree just because I don't like you.
Bringing down that MAWLR is going to be soooo satisfying!
I know that if I miss out and then see "sold out" signs after release, I'll regret it. As such, I pre-ordered this. Not as if I do it for every game I get.
If I spend £100 on something I want and enjoy it, it isn't a "waste".
If I spend £1 on something I don't want, that's a waste.
I've been musing over the Helghast Edition for a while, and after much consideration I finally decided to go for it. I've NEVER spent that much on a game and doubt I ever will again, but being such a KILLZONE fan (bought KZ 1 on day one) I just knew that if I let it pass I'd regret it.
The helmet is pretty cool, but I'm getting it more for the art book and cloaked sniper figure.
If it's as good as PORTAL (1) but longer, I'll be happy!
Not if devs say "Oooh look - Let's ALL churn out trashy dance games to make a few bob" at the expense of 'serious' software
Disturbing imagery, excessive gore, body horror... I'd say it qualifies for the genre.
Oh, I nearly bought this too (loved SAVAGE MOON - Still play it now and again).
Good job I waited.
I was actually able to build rudimentary 'cut scenes' with LBP1, using the 'mouth' and 'camera angle' tools to move to different parts of the level briefly. It'll be so cool for the feature to be 'official' and save me time.
It's my genuine, absolute 'honest opinion' that HALO is an overated series of blandness... does that make me entitled to write a review of it, dismiss what it DOES offer and peddle that review as somehow legit?
I wouldn't be so arrogant.
So we could have the best game ever, but if the reviewer doesn't like it he's perfectly entitled to give it 3/10 (for example)? How is that helpful?
A reviewer must, for the most part, SET ASIDE their opinion and review what the game is offering (it's technical performance, durabilty etc.)
You must think a pocket calculator can do the same thing as a PC or a Mini can go as fast as a Ferrari... grow up.
Ergo HALO 3 is the best shooter, EVER? Your standards are rock bottom, sunshine
Within the space of a few sentences you have outright lied (people are playing KZ2 multi right now) and been outright wrong (it won't fail).
Well done, that takes talent!
