Selling software? Because that's the major issue right now. Nintendo, with the worst hardware, had multiple titles hit 5 million units sold. Far so I can tell, nobody is bashing it for that reason. Everyone I talk to wants the games, they don't want the system. Hence why Zelda is being purchased on Wii U. Can't justify this overly costly system.
Is this game not single player only? Seems like an odd thing to announce, people just put 2 and 2 together. Then again, wouldn't hold it against this industry if micro transactions became a thing in single player games. They always manage to find new and inventive ways to screw themselves.

Titanfall 2 isn't demanding. Don't oversell your game. Pretty obvious 3rd party support isn't going to be the best, but I wouldn't burn a bridge when your game didn't sell that good.
