In my opinion the PS3 is vastly superior to the 360 because of the multimedia capabilities it has. I know alot will say that the multimedia aspect is not important, but we all know that Nintendo and Microsoft will have Media Center abilities in their next consoles.

It may not have the resolution of some PC titles, but then again resolution is indicative of the graphic fidelity.
For instance, their are games from 5 years ago on PC that run in obscene resolutions, beyond 1080p, but their are jaggies all over the screen that will not be removed no matter how powerful the GPU you buy for your PC.

There are already parts of PSN that make them money, and that is micro-transactions. These micro-transactions made PSN over £500M profit throughout 2008-2009.
The new subscription service will not include gaming online which will remain free.

They will do ok, the best I can recommend is you get a PS3 and so you will have the best of both worlds. Sony might have a quiet year sometime, Microsoft may follow, byu having both consoles you are effectively investing against such a thing.
