That report does not mention the $1 Billion put aside for repairing the consoles, an Xbox company could not afford to do that and pay the $50M for timed exclusives ect.

If Microsoft was split up into it's seperate parts 5 years ago the gaming company that would have resulted and made the XBox 360 would be bankrupt.
The company would have lost too much money on the hardware to be sustainable and there would be no money for the timed exclusive multiplatform games.
Xbox would be dead and Halo Reach would be on PS3 and PC.
2 HD 5870's will beat a GTX580 and HD6970, and will cost less.
With firmware updates there is no reason why these cheapers cards in XFire will not do a better job at 3D as well.

I have DIRT 2 and GRID. They run on my setup at Maximum and with Mods. There are practically flawless graphically speaking. It is impossible, and I mean impossible, to make out the tiny tiny details when there is a tiny bit of shake applied which is what a mod can do to highten realism.

Except that GT5 and forza 3 are games that look amazing at close to 60fps or are 60fps.
While Shift is barely a good looking game at 30fps.

There was hardly any progress made from COD2 and Black Ops. There was an injection of graphics at Modern Warfare but everything else was pretty much identical. And the only difference between Modern Warfare and Black Ops is the graphic levels going down and game killing bugs being introduced.
