Games that defined FPS were released well over 10 years before Counter Strike was even a thought.
Catacomb 3-D was the game that went on to define the FPS genre. Before that game it was all about static sprites and at most just 3 sections of a corridor drawn in front of you.

It is my only 10/10 game this year, I haven't tried GT5 since the update so there could be two.
But the point is, I haven't tried it post update yet... so Heavy Rain is the only 10/10 for me so far for 2010.

Kids will never like a game like that. It contains realistic running speeds and so it would be deemed "FAILZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ Z!"
Unless you can run at 87MPH with 1,528kg of amour, guns and ammunition... kids (under the age of 24) are not interested!

Then why does the PS3 version has readable text on the walls in the first slider pic (2nd pic), and the 360 version just uses patterns?
No, Alan Wake looks good because of all the detail packed into every environment. When you go into any building there are all these little touches that make it seem believable. The lighting is also a standout feature. The amount of real time shadows and lights playing across the environments at many points surpassed anything I had seen in a console game before.
