Although I think the folks who booted him are complete jerks, I think that with the money coming in to Activision/Blizzard... they should implement speech/text.

It would need an epic support staff, to constantly keep the game interesting to long term players.
Such as an Elite Online type of game where there are many factions trying to conquer planets, and great AI incursions that the warring factions would have to temporarily call a cease fire to stand a chance of repelling.

I am inclined to disagree I am afraid. That is perhaps how you look at things, but the majority of people do play for the storyline and those games with a poor storyline get slated for it and rarely sell successfully.
Heavy Rain had a better story than 90% of movies and programs that were made in 2010. All we see on TV and in the cinema is rehashed rubbish these days. Such as Avatar, it is a Walt Disney's Pochahontas on a alien planet. It has pretty colours and good effe...
Getting both but Killzone is my preferred destination. I don't know if it is an older person thing or what?!
For me, I just feel more in line to accept the surroundings given in Killzone because it is essentially WW2 given a lick of futurisitic paint. I love how the Helghast are like Nazi's as reports say (although to be honest, they have more resmeblence to the Japanese Empire in WW2). I think you are looking at it in totally the wrong way. Only bey berrating poor storylines can the quality improve, and acclaiming those which are good raises the bar even higher because rival dev's know what they need to do to get the praise.

That is a load of crap. IGN severely marked down GT5 and didn't even get half way through the game. They actually tried to give the impression that Forza 3 was a better game!!
