Given 5 is the midway point, I would imagine a rental game would get 5 maximum because it doesn't breach that magic marker to make you buy it and have it forever.

You really are blind. DiRT 2 on PC is far superior in graphics to Forza 4, DiRT 3 is unrivalled by any racing game.
It is not in game footage, the good looking stuff that is. The gameplay footage shows it is still Forza 3.

I wouldn't say Sony were 3rd placed. Shareholders are more interested in time related performance than overall performance because it allows them to monitor the trend. And that way the shareholders of both companies see Sony shipping more units per quarter than Microsoft since the PS3 went on sale.

It is probably the only way to get thousands of Zerg, thousands of Protoss and loads of human battalions on screen. Plus it allows a strong story, something FPS has never been able to deliver.
Whatever point you are trying to make about copying is invalid. There is absolutely no point in saying Sony copied Ninty, when Ninty copied Atari. Credit should go to the first, not the one many lines down the history.
Wrong. MS doesn't want it's customers complaining about the fact a room containing PC, PS3 and 360 players only has 360 players paying for the right to play in that room.
Cross Platforming would be the death of Microsofts Live business model, they could not continue justifying charging to play online when people with other platforms can enter the exact same room for free.

You just have to look at what is available on the PS3 to realise that Duke Nuken was never going to generate the same sort of sales as it would get on the 360.
Playstation owners would be out still buying Motorstorm Apocolypse, they prefer games like LA Noire, even Killzone 3 would still be claiming a few thousand and White Knight Chronicles 2 will also eat in Duke Nukem sales.
